It doesn't matter. I have seen TSA camp out at the door and search everyone going through.I'm an employee..Why would I be stopped and searched if I use my PA/Customs ID to swipe throught the doors?

And who are the ones who want to do us harm? The ones who look they are from the mideast or the ones who look like Timothy McVeigh? When I worked for World...I saw the military personnel you speak of Frank getting asked to take off there belts, shoes, etc...
I could not believe my eyes. Everytime I travel I get homicidal over the "knee jerk" BS! we Americans are subject to...all in the name of so called "airport security".
The TSA is just another bloated arm of Fedzilla(thanks Ted Nugent).
They will scrutinize everybody except the ones that actually want to do us harm. Thanks to the PC agenda of the A-C-L-U!!!!
We need to adopt Israels security model.
I better stop now....
Happy Birthday Marines! (Nov 10th)Probably the funniest story I'd heard for a while was re: a charter flight for a group of USMC soldiers - they had to go through a security check per the TSA and after having to toss their nail clippers and other such "weapons" were allowed to board carrying their M16s and other gear.
Only in America ...

The ACLU is against body scanners.

The problem is that the TSA are primarily low paid and not very extensively trained, to make up for the lack of training they follow a blanket set of rules that eliminate judgement and common sense.
I hope the AA and US Air pilots are successful in taking on the TSA. I hope their Unions sue the TSA over the radiation body scanners [virtual naked strip search] and are successful in court of getting the Full Body Scanners removed from airports. This is just another example of the Feds overstepping their powers and it needs to be stopped ASAP.

No, what's funny about this is that if a pilot wants to bring down the airplane, there's nothing that screening is going to do to prevent it. It's not like they have a giant axe at their disposal or the ability to nosedive the airplane like the EgyptAir pilot did...
While I'm not defending the porn scanners or pat downs, I think the reason for requiring flight crews to go through security is because it isn't to difficult to obtain a uniform and badge if you want to take down a plane. Buy a ticket the day before, stick it in the pocket of your uniform and go through with your fake badge. Change clothes in the bathroom and board the plane with your weapon. Having a fingerprint or iris scanner with previously cleared employees info on the network wouldn't be too hard to implement. I think they were going to do that with frequent fliers, but I haven't seen one yet.

This post highlights the exact reason all of the FAs and Pilots are irritated that WE have to go through security and WE are the ones flying on the planes.

You might be very surprised how much the TSA workers are paid. It takes almost a year to be hired and the backgrund checks and physicals are far more extensive than for flight crew.
