AA Management Bonuses - Despite More Losses

Hhmmmm I guess the moderators never got your message about closing your account. What a shame.

It's funny you say that Mikey. Since we have actually flown together in the past and you asked me several questions regarding the contract. You had no clue on what to do and I gave you the 411 on what to do. I quote you on what you said, that day; "We need more union reps like you to go against this company."

All I know is that in 2003 we were told that AA was going to file BK if all the unions did not accept massive concessions and at the same time they initiated a bonus plan for the upper executives. So much for the pull together win together theory. Our union employees fell for this (SCAM) and look what happens about two years later. We are still losing money and the company is still trying to find ways to cut back.
This is the bottom line. I do not want to hear about previous dealings and sacrifices by upper management. Bonus payouts that make some upper VP an instant millionair while we sacrifice our daily lives just to survive is not the pull together win together way of working.
My opinion of course, but this is a slap in the face for the sacrifices we all made to stay out of BK.
What's next?????

Maybe you two could start and FA Mikey vs B.O.B. thread, and leave this one about Million Dollar Exec's bonuses out of your personality conflict?

At least the F/A President can see the importance of this matter!

Unfortunately, this is Business As Usual with corporations today.

How true - and when the first paycheck of the year arrives next week, our payroll deducted medical expenses will have gone up another 50%, along with higher co-pays, but hey, at least they got their bonuses. ;) ;)

Imagine how much $500+ million would have offset the increased medical cost put on employees or the company for that matter.

The logic you union guys use is contractidictory and ironic.

1. You always complain that you are underpaid. You then use the fact that you are underpaid as an excuse for poor performance and moral issues.

Yet..

2. When it comes to management pay you complain about management pay and even fairly standard bonus plans. Essentially, you want to pay management as little as possible.

Yet..

3. You constantly complain about how stupid management is and the dumb decisions that they make.

So...

By using your own logic, management is underpaid, because they have poor performance, yet unions go ape Sh!t with the mention of bonuses or raises, which by your own logic makes would increase performance.

So which way do you want it?

Real simple - no bonuses until "all" employees have snapped backed to pre-concessionary salaries and/or contract language. If they have anything left after that, I'm all for throwing them a buck or two but not millions, afterall they dumped the stock from $83 to $1.25(-$30 for Sabre), and none of them were fined for those losses.

So you want the poorly paid/poor performance option?

The stock is up, 4 billion in cash, improving revenue. Seems to me performance is good and improving.

On the same token I think it would be a great thing to see a shared sacrifice and no bonus's for anyone, until there is enough to share for all of us.

I want my paid time off back, my 17.5%, sick time, and cap on medical insurance increase.

Then if the performace is good, give the million dollor marketing guru another million if you want.

Don't let Hutto-Blake fool you! She is such a pro-compAAny Union President, it makes me sick. I am looking forward to seeing her a$$ out the door.
