And just what sort of dreaded "challenge" should I ever expect come from that childish nonsense?

Still waiting....Nothing, nothing at all...? So much for: EastCheats: Timid?

Hardly, very confident. Well above you."...?

If you're indeed 53; you might take good counsel from the fact that many trees and even animals are much older, yet they'd make poorly even attempted impersonations of men.

Patience grasshopper

Solitaire?

Beer pong?

Quarters?

I'll bet you've mastered all the above.

This is completely removed from any of the labor stuff. Have any of you done the numbers on the supplemental post retirement insurance the APA offers? Specifically the back payments to age 55 in some of our cases.
Also, am hearing about a survivors 25 k insurance benefit that costs nothing but the paperwork. On the APA web site.

I can't get any definitive answers on coverage if one retires outside the US and its territories for retirement.  The folks on the phone are quite vague...they say they pay outside the US, but don't say what, or how much.  I read through the entire 45 page policy, and being written in legalese, it's not much help, either.  Paying premiums all the way back to age 55 is quite a chunk to put into the plan if indeed it is not going to be useful for expat retirees.

How 'bout simply a Flying encounter? I'll bet you've mastered precious little of that....?  Sigh...I guess all that "Timid?  Hardly, very confident. Well above you." immediately just blows away in the breeze, along with your standard-issue hot air, whenever actually called on? No matter. Thanks for the always predicable laughs from "sparta".

We could have had a flying encounter if you would not have cheated me and my West brothers and sisters by delaying the previous arbitration. You opted to hide behind that fake Union of yours in the failed attempt to keep this airline unmerged. Now, with the New American, maybe you will have the opportunity to impress the West "rookies" and our new AA comrades with your "flying skills"

So...How many years have "you'se" logged? It obviously matters to you for at least internet postings, if clearly not earend seniority, so stop being bashful about it....?

I've logged 53 years on this planet. Still a kid, right? ;)

Since you're evidently fine with proudly boasting the 53 years; why such a pronounced reluctance to answer the above question?  Kindly explain that essentially dishonest reluctance to anyone...? Didn't a supposed 53 years teach you ANYTHING at ALL about personal character?

"If"....You weren't just a pitiful wimp with nothing more to offer than a big mouth, delusional fantasies of being a "spartan soldier", and some "Integrity Matters" T-shirts...Understood. There's no "cheating" in an aerial encounter, so what's your real "excuse" here?

"Meanwhile, stick a pacifier in it."

I can picture your crew after a briefing.

And, not surprisingly, given your clearly infantile nature; you would be completely wrong. The two things that yet keep me in the commercial cockpit are the true privelege of working with some amazingly great people..and otherwise, "just" the awesomely beautiful view from the office window. Perhaps you'll at least someday understand even that first part. For the sake of any crews "you'se" might one day "captain"... I'll hope so. If "you'se" can even imagine that I find (clearly unlike "you'se" sad self) some perverse need for any "command" awe from an airline crew of coworkers, well, you fall far below the floor of my even my earlier levels of proper contempt.

Keep posting kid. "You'se"further advance your "righteous" cause with every utterance.

...Your mommy, or perhaps the entirely self-styled 2004 hired (and only by AWA) "Supreme Commander" of your ridiculous little Fantasyland "army" not ever let you out to play?  "I've logged 53 years on this planet." So why spend your remaining years as a helpless little child, supposed "Pilot"? Heck! Call little fergie up and tell him he's personally got an easy way to finally prove "spartan pilot" ascendance. The world could certainly use the laughs these days...I know I could.

Per your current crop of "seniority" fantasies: "I have always depended on the kindness of strangers"...Blanche Dubois/ A Streetcar Named Desire. Good luck with all that.

EastCheats: "Timid? Hardly, very confident. Well above you."..."Our meeting will be on my terms, MD. Not yours." Would it help your "self esteem" if I promise to now spend many sleepless nights?...?, Or will "you'se" understandably excuse me while I just laugh? ;)

"Maybe" I've known some of our "new" comrades at AA since they were "butterbars" in baby bird school. Some of them were even students of mine at a point in time. "Maybe" I flew with some later in operational squadrons during more trying circumstances than some idiotic seniority squabble. I'll properly leave the pathetically ignorant likes of "you'se" to utterly dazzle them with your "flying skills". I hate to break this to "you'se", but they aren't much overly AWAed by your sorry sort of supposed "pilot" either, nor the nic, for that matter, so you might best get busy trying to figure out how to "cram the nic down" their throats. Try a rousingly "righteous" round of "This is Sparta!" and see how well that really sells....Good luck. "You'se" now claim 53 years of supposed "life": "Are you trying to relive your "glory days" from days past? I'm impressed." Exactly what were EVER your "glory days"?...Sitting for years in PHX as some frustrated first officer in the best-job-you-could-ever-get AWA?..Vainly hoping for some outside agency/arbitrator/judge/whatever to magically give your sad excuse for a "life" any worth?...Must truly suck to be you.

EastCheats: "Timid? Hardly, very confident. Well above you."..."Our meeting will be on my terms, MD. Not yours."  I'll count the days. When might I even hopefully expect such a grossly personal "humiliation" to ever take place?

Squashing helpless insects on a screen's never been much to my taste, so I'll leave this for now.

No opinions on the voluntary supplemental?

Nycbusdriver has clearly done the most study on it here Black. For my half cent's worth; I'm thinking it's likely worth the investment, just by way of being a low-cost, hedge buy. What's a few pesos up front if anyone ever really needs the coverage? It doesn't seem all that expensive, so where's the harm?...But that's an entirely uneducated and purely general opinion from one who's not studied the issue. Proper apologies for not having anything actually useful or more specific to offer.
