yes youre correct WeAAsles  according to what was said  it should be at minimum of 2.1% or higher and they'll shoot for higher  of course if DL does go union that cld also really be a big help
The $24 was factoring in what they are currently making Robbed. They could receive another raise before our averaging date which could bring it higher? Factoring in the time line even if they were to organize soon it's doubtful they would get their first CBA in time to affect us.

tim,

Still no HONEST answer? Or are you drafting your carefully spun response as to not really give an answer. You and I both know that had the U4C slate had won your protest would have not been filed. Why can't you just honestly answer that very simple yes or no question? As you are for the members rights. The members rights say that had you won, you would have done right by us and filed the protest. Sadly you are just in it for yourself and by your silence, you say a lot about just how for the members rights you really are.

I don't think we will see a unionized DL. They get better pay than US or UA and they're not paying 60 bucks a month to wait 3 years for a raise. They seem a little happier. Anyone remember when the employees at DL chipped in and bought the company a new 757? I dated an f/a from DL then and it did happen.

September 2015 Robbed. Should equal somewhere in the range of $24 per hour give or take. The unknown is due to non union Delta that won't be determined until that year.
...And of course, our (DL) base rates are based on what everyone else makes.

FWIW, here's the "peer group" the Widget used for our current scale:

WN/CO/AA/US/UA/B6

Obviously, there's been a couple mergers, and AS/NK/F9/HA (or any regionals, for that matter) aren't factored in...

Never say never. This isn't your ex's DL...

kev  if FSA ratifies the TA at PMUS  do you foresee any kind of changes to the payscale at the widget?   I ask that now that we have a TA and basing it on if its ratified.   ps... that was a 76 that the employees brought for DL   nice plane too

Having worked for two large corporations before coming to AA (UPS and FedEx) I understand and appreciate the value I have in being a part of a Union. The $60 you complain about guarantees that I'm treated fairly even if some manager hates my guts. They can hate me and what I have to say to people all they want but there is NOTHING they can do about it.

I've said this before and I'll say it again, my union dues are the best investment I have in my portfolio. It gives me a 100% return on investment every year. And that's not just financially either.

Kev I'm curious about something? Delta entered the S&P 500 on Sept 11, 2013 and I remember that they also announced raises to coincide with that. Was your raise given to you on the same day?

What I find ironic is that our industry averaging happens on Sept 12, 2015. Do you think you will receive wage increases on the yearly anniversary?

I doubt Delta would want to give you any increases after we do our averaging and be at a cost disadvantage? Unless it was worth it as a selling point against organizing to be able to compare the base rate and they can say "Look we pay more"

Looking at just the base rate is smoke and mirrors when comparing to the whole pie of benefits too BTW.

Good question. It's a thin line for them. On the one hand, they've done quite well to manage our (collective) expectations using the "industry standard" meme. On the other, they know if that trends down, they'll be in a tricky spot of either trying to explain a paycut away, or maintaining the current rates and eating the cost disadvantage.

Our last two rate increases went into effect on 01.Jan. 2013, and 01. Apr. 2014...

Exactly. Given that there's no price they won't pay to maintain autocracy, it's a fairly good bet that they'll keep base rates static, and try to leverage any increase as a selling point...

True. DL does a "total compensation" comparison as well, but it's only ever based on TOS employees, and I don't think that tells the whole story- all the more so given the demographics of each carrier...

I think DL management is going to be left with a bit of a quandary especially if any card drive begins to exert serious pressure of becoming a reality in fleet. UAL in Jan will be making $24.60 compared to your currently know $23.86 and that's not even factoring in a very decent longevity and shift differential pay scale with UAL as well which takes many of their members substantially higher. Add to that that the US TA now abolishes Ready Reserve and the union has some excellent selling points for getting those cards signed.

Management may have no choice but to do an end run and bump you up substantially to try and stop any effort? I hope your members understand the conversation of percentages that we were discussing before on the DL thread that a certain poster kept attempting to disavow?

Actually, it was a 767.

it doesnt help that the iam has agreed with airline ceos to abolish profit sharing for its members in return for positive space travel for two more union bosses.

The delta employees would be taking an incredibly huge cut in total compensation to get positive space travel for union bosses if the iam forced the dirty deed on them.

Besides, the iam may also cut a power grab deal to whack more stations just to collect dues in atl and another couple stations.

i already told u that i saw, reviewed, and supported a charge that was filed in early june and submitted to the intl. Regardless if i won. Why are u stuck on your own bs?

Yes baby boy is almost complete with my charges to enforce the rights of our members against the anti union bastards who violated the laws. The Enforcer, aka, Baby Face Nelson, gonna get the bad guys again
