As much as this all stinks,we at US have learned that no matter what the unions want or say it is worthless. The company can and will do whatever it pleases as long as the Judge gives them the OK to do so. We are all just along for the ride at this point. UA can cut, sell whatever will satisfy the court and the creditors..
If the Tilton does that and also starts a LCC startup, then I think we can assume that ALPA is busted. If Siegel manages to rape U's pilots' retirement fund, then that's the end for them also. Next? Carty goes after the APA, Mullins after DAL, etc. Make no mistake about it, these guys are after unionization in the industry. Their aim is to kill it while they can.
None of these guys have done squat to adapt the industry . . . same old incoherent fare structures, etc. After they bust the unions, then they'll start "restructuring," . . . . and no doubt reward themselves handsomely.

PineyBob, I don't know what comment that you're referring to, but this board has the same tone from employees as your beloved US Airways board.
United was #1 for on time arrivals in 2002, a difficult year for employees. Does that stat show that character is lacking in UAL employees?
