WOW know Hewitt is complaining that this is not what the company told us they were going to do. Hewitt is a friggin jackass and an idiot. He is not even an aircraft mechanic.
Read the article and chime in on the comments and let Hewitt and the YES voters realize what the hell they just did to our profession.

Sign a AMFA card today people. Lets get rid of IDIOTS like Hewitt once and for all.
I keep asking the same question over and over. Do you want the TWU to negotiate our next contract?
My answer is NO!
I am sure others feel the same but for some stupid idiotic reason they refuse to sign a AMFA card.
How many more guys have to lose their jobs?
AA is about to hit the TWUs "bottom", deep and hard !!!I guess these guys (TWU and teamster supporters) are just like drug and alcohol addicts. They haven't hit the bottom yet. They say that addicts have ti hit their bottom before they realize that they need to change or die. What in the hell are these guys bottoms?? How much more can one take. Totally agreeing with you 1AA...

The numbers are the ones in the 4/26 term sheet. The numbers are 60 off but it seems some jobs shifted from TUL to DWH.I know there is more. But I heard 2 things mentioned and not talked about yet.
1- Hewitt is refusing to release the numbers originally "agreed to" by the union that the company can lay-off. First of all how can a union agree with lay-offs??? Way to go TWU.
2- At the end of the news cast the reporter says that the union has asked the company to re-look at the numbers. The company has agreed to do so. Watch out boys, here comes larger nubers in the lay-off column.
I also see this as a ploy. The TWU and company are setting a ploy. Company announces larger number of lay-offs (not only to the union) but thru the media, TWU says we are looking into it. Company so easily and quickly agrees to do a re-look requested by the union. Company will come back and say--"Oh sorry TWU we were mistaken" they will still lay-off the same original number of mechs, and the TWU will claim they stopped them from doing worse than what they "AGREED TO". You see, the TWU needs alot of ata-boys to re-coupe the membership quickly leaving the TWU in an up-coming election with AMFA. The company is merely helping the TWU to try and repair as the company wants nothing more than the TWU to remain on the property so they can continue to get "AGREED TO" conssesions from the TWU. Company union all the way boys...
They are "looking into it". Probably will be a committee formed soon.Remember, the only hard numbers are dollar percentages allowed to be outsourced and those are numbers provided by the company. Headcount promised means nothing in my mind.I see that. What has been said about the company getting with the TWU about the "inflated numbers" that are going to be laid off?

Not true. We found the bottom at UAL when we voted for amfa. The association, we found out, found even more ways to take us lower than we ever thought possible.

You may not be an idiot BUT you're no example of a leader either, you forgot that part.Interesting enough is the fact that the majority that was employed at UAL, they voted for AMFA.
It was the RIF's with lifetime recall rights that the teamsters promised false gains (pension return, and jobs back) that caused the change to the IBT.
And you call that a mandate and strength?
And I am no idiot, and I would contrast Hewitt or any other industrial unionist nicely.
