Brothers and Sisters of TWU Local 555:

We at the Aircraft Mechanics Fraternal Association would like to express our deepest sympathy and full support of your efforts to address the disturbing hostility towards frontline employees at Southwest Airlines. What makes this even more disturbing is that the individuals creating this hostile environment in the workplace are management – senior executives and labor relations personnel.

TWU’s documented increase in the number of disciplinary actions and terminations against your members is alarming, and it’s mutually noted. The new approach of labor relations and management to execute unscrupulous disciplinary actions does not honor the fundamental foundation and business model founded in 1971 that encouraged a stable work environment. Never was it intended for there to be an “us against them” mentality or culture between labor relations and frontline employees. Unfortunately, the tanking morale and unstable work environment will have a direct impact not only on our Culture, but also on our customers.

We share in your cause and stand in solidary with the members of TWU Local 555.

That's what AMFA does. They claim to be democratic but they are nothing more than a dictatorship that drives money in to the AMFA law firm. It's difficult to get good guys to run for Union positions in AMFA. You end up with the worst guys representing the group because no one wants to deal with all of the BS caused by the bad guys. Then if anyone says anything bad about AMFA out comes the bully intimidating mentality. They do not represent the majority. They represent the minority and will argue that they are protecting you from yourself. Don't let them lead you off the cliff like they did us at NWA.
Hey 737 max , just want to warn you about this page you get 5 negative comments about AMFA, then Hackman AMFA Seham's cyber goon , comes attack mode, but he's kind of stupid, so just be warned, claims he works for American, but we all now know he is all B. S. !

Good for you, just don't be so bitter, and a jerk, just because things didn't work out for you, I have had to move around chasing jobs, lucky I got on here! This is a tough industry, and unfortunately it seems unless you are a pilot or important to operations you are expendable, Yes there are times to stand up, but unfortunately you know from your career that the courts will side with management. SWA is not a mom and pop airline, anymore, we are full legacy status, and management looks at cost! And when you have an established union like you do at American , it is almost impossible to get rid of them.In the end AMFA will bend so work rules to get a deal, and it will probably pass, because most of the people I talk to just don't care anymore.As the Christian in me and fellow mechanic I will call a truce, and just try to stay subjective. It just tics me off when you see all the money we spend on legal fees, and some is good, and some is a waste. Oh and I never was a business agent, just a Steward, and not bad at it! And your right about watching out for each other! Again no offense ! :)
 
I never wished violence on anyone, you must have me confused with someone else.I remember when I was looking for an Airline job, after finishing contract work at NAS jax, in 1989, Eastern was on strike and wanted to hire me and I said no, looked at McDonnell Douglas, but what they paid same as United Airlines I would starve in California, so to Chicago I went to Midway, didn't work out so good, they went bankrupt !
 
What do you guys think about we were asking for x number of dollars, and then this last time, they ask for more, because of the scope changes, maybe for the scope changes whenever we meet again, try to shrink the the time to catch up on the pay scale, and increase the signing bonus, if AMFA doesn't think we can get the full retro! The 300's are gone at the end of Sept! Has the company presented what the maintenance program on the Max will be, we all know that every new airplane has issues. Plus with that new leap engine, I think we will see some issues even though it is a G. E.

You see that is the problem, everyone that has an idea is a troll, then forget it, you look at the AMFA closed Facebook page, or the American Airlines forums page those guys talk about what's going on, you don't want any new ideas , I guess this will be resolved when Dallas 11, has everything Dallas wants, because that's all that matters. If we sit here forever I really dont care, go to the meetings tomorrow ask questions get involved !

I luv it. You do not want to talk about Amfa strategy but your Pom Pom cheerleaders are all around the boards critising/advice/strategy on everyone else. You can not answer the dilemna the membership is in and don't like questions like your cheetleader group does every where else. Figure it out. U attacked now ur being questioned and can't respond. Sad. The membership is gonna suffer from over bloated egos.
 
Tha Amfa group has used social media for there own agenda. But when social media does not fill there agenda now they do like it. Interesting concept. Amfa was built on social media and is coming back to haunt them. I Ask again??? What is the plan for Federal lawsuit litigation? Nothing will be concluded until that is resolved. Dispute- ignore- do whatever. Be honest with the membership.

No I think be will ok it will just take longer, I don't want to attack my members, However if we don't have some exchange of ideas, I really don't see the point of this thread. It seems to me, at least on this forum, that we are becoming more and more like the other unions.When someone has a fixed idea on how they perceive a situation, nothing you say will change their minds!

I did have the wrong person, my apologies to you for wrongly accusing you of stating what the 17 year old No Figures said to Swa Amt; "If you don't get your skull split open with a picket sign I would be amazed. Maybe you and hack boy can hold hands together in solidarity!!!" Psychopathic tendencies perhaps? Padded cell might be next for the "Called u out" kid. What does you Psychology degree tell you?

However, I will not apologize for stating your a greedy company suck/plant who whines about having to fight for 5 years with one of the best contracts in the industry. Constantly wailing in your tears of woe, had it so rough. You were a military man? Not much of one I guess. I am glad your not waiting 14 years at AA with a BK contract under the TWu, you couldn't take it, I'm afraid you would crack, a long time ago. You disparage NWA with no regard of the sacrifice the mechanics were forced to make, and they were forced. You should apologize to the NWA mechanics that sacrificed and fought for the craft. I have friends that worked there, and I hate to think what they would do if you had the balls to say to them what you've said here.

Come on now swamt. U have not answered the issue. Do not try to be righteous guy now with all your attacks on other forums. Just address the issue. What's the status of the Federal lawsuits and how is it affecting section 6 bargaining? Everything's on hold. Just admit it. Come clean!!!

The degree try not to tick people off and learn to listen which I have a short fuse, discovered I was better with machines than people. Did not want to appear as a whiny person, and I understand with everything you have been through with American you feel the way you do! However when we first started this section 6, AMFA told us in the meetings to expect three years, and it just keeps going on and on, like your guys situation ! As far as the Northwest guys my friends I work with felt totally betrayed by the union and the company, from the IAM to AMFA, and a lot of what they are hearing they say here we go again, and that's how they feel !
