Does anyone have a copy of the latest proposal by the CWA ...they gave the company another proposal on Nov 4th but we haven't seen what it contained.....if anyone has it could you post it on here for all to see??

I havent seen an official copy, only heard second hand some of the contents, but the company said it was a step in the right direction......(this was what I was told). Cant wait to see what it actually said, but the $ amount was more than anything I've heard or seen proposed from either side with many of the companys latest offerings elsewhere pretty much intact from what little bit I was advised of. I dont know if it will be put out unless the company says yes.

I do not believe anything unreasonable would get a yes vote from the members....

Sounded to me from people I talked with, the majority of people voted for a possible strike....

I think rather than the company trying to totally destroy the current contract, they would need to make any contract modifications in proposals using the current contract....

If Southwest is paying $22.00 an hour to do the same job as we do, people are not gonna vote themselves into a $14.00 or $15.00 an hour top scale job for 7 years out from now ......

I will vote no for anything over a penny less than I make right now. It is better to end this thing now. I hate to see 28,000 out of a job but if we set a precedent for lower wages then everyone in the industry is affected.

Is the company even considering CWAs proposals or is it just a step in the process, prior to going to the judge.... are they actually discussing possible options with management at this point?

To my knowledge, the company has never entertained any of the CWA proposals, only demanding, and continually lowering, the proposals the company wants. There is NO NEGOTIATIONS....it's take it or leave it from the company and Jerry Glass, INC. This company is only after poverty level wages and all current employees to leave the company. IMO it is better for the company to liquidate and all employees have benefits available to them thru various state and federal government agencies for retraining and schooling. There is NO FUTURE with USAIR under any of the current company proposals.
