Whats Next At Aa

Just for a bit of history Coldplay, the APFA merger committee told IAM that they did not believe in "stapling", so obviously someone had to change their minds. That was one of APFA's promises to the TWAers as a condition of purchase.

Quote Coldplay: "They would have done the very same thing to preserve their seniority, so all this talk about "doing the right thing" is just plain BS, because human nature dictates that one will do everything in his power to retain what is riughtfully theirs. " I glad many do not believe your BS, because if they did there would be no reason for parents to spend money on food for their kids. And secondly when TWA purchased Ozark, all Ozark F/As received DOH.

I kind of find that hard to believe since we handled the TWA buyout just like the Reno buyout.

Well, it was attested to in court on Tuesday and at trial I believe APFA merger group members will testify to the same thing.

The AA fa's whoe formerly worked for TWA will be recalled next time around. How will they feel about this lawsuit when it is draining the Union and the company that they pay into and get paid from? Will it be we must succeed at all costs? Give me a break, there are plenty of FA's under you also. If this is the attitude that prevails among the majority, good luck on the line! You will need it. Hopefully it is the attitude of the vocal minority as most things seem to be.

Actually the lawsuits most draining to APFA are the 4 R/A lawsuits - largely initiated by lineflying nAAtive F/As. As I understand it no discovery has been done on those lawsuits, that will be the expensive part.

Well yes those are draining also. Even though I understand their anger, I feel the lawsuit serves no constructive purpose and have told a few of the f/a's on the lawsuit personally. Seriously look at our industry, it is on the verge of collapse. What purpose are these lawsuits serving except personal satisfaction?

You could thus argue that the 777 award be turned back to the company to help it achieve profitability. I do not dispute the fact that there is severe turbulence in the aviation industry nor would I dispute the fact that some stability in the industry would lower stress levels and anxieties about retirements.

Who on the commitee said that? That may have been one persons belief, but that should not be held as an official position by the organization.

To be fair that was not the original offer to OZ. That was the one dictated by Ichan.

When AA bought the assets of TW, we were still in expansion mode. There were no layoffs or down turn sight. It was never the intent of this union APFA or I am sure any other to put TW people on the bottom in anticipation of a layoff. It was totally for bidding purpose's. The unions here were not going to sell out there members and see all the best vacations, days off, lines and shifts go to the SR people from TWA while those who built and made AA a career were left to wait many more years for theirs or just being bumped out of there shift or days. Then came 9/11. Guess what there is a shared sacrifice there were and are to this day native AAers still on furlough with the exTWAers.
