Today we confirmed via Turbine Building Director that AA will outsource the component re-work on the CFM-56 Engine off of the 737. This will be similar to the already outsourced component rework on cf6-80c2A5, and Rolls Royce, Engines.

AA will only disassemble, assemble, and test the engine.

A Maintenance By the Hour Contract on Component Rework.

What's left?

GO AMFA!

How cute!!! An amfa guy actually concerned about outsourcing!!

Is that the professional response to a serious matter your members expect?

Nice One AAmech

We will watch for your so-called 19.9% outsource percentage to rise.

Remember, the company provided DOL Form41 is unchallenged and unaudited. The TWU always takes management reports as gospel, no back check, no challenge.

You still don't believe that a 38% limit is better than 100% do you?

B- B- BUT The TWU is fantastic at saving JOBS.
How can this be? The TWU pushed and got Vision 2025 passed. Then claimed that
they brought work in house. I, I, I don't get it?! 😱

Recognition and Scope.

"...IT IS UNDERSTOOD THAT NOTHING IN THIS ARTICLE REQUIRES THE MAINTENANCE OF THE PRESENT VOLUME OF WORK..."

Sorry, I just had to be a tad unprofessional, also. 😀

hmmm,

another one of those threads that leaves TWU advocates speechless?

Imagine that.

Dave since you're in the Turbine Building and have an oppurtunity to be on the R/O committee what are you doing to save your fellow TWU Brothers and Sisters? Please leave out the US Vs. Them debate, this is your oppurtunity to shine and show you are willing to stand up and fight AA on the outsource issue.

Please keep us informed on your progress to stop the work from going out as you claim. I also believe AA has issued a 4 or 5 page letter today and this issue was covered.

Thanks for the help in advance.

Kinda hard to fight with NO CONTRACT language.

Maybe you could offer another 5% concession and get the work back since you obvioulsy do not have protective language and you are now resorting to recruitment of AMFA organizers to save outsourced work.

Jetnet ever heard of this? Duh???

I'm sure the Local will be happy to furnish you one if you lost yours.

Dave You just lost, Here was your oppurtunity to shine, No wonder the amfa members repeatedly tell us they do not want you either.

Earth to CIO,

I wasn't talking about physically having language in my hand.

I was talking about NO LANGUAGE to win an Arbitration.

Can't you keep your thread topics on track?

your such a dipstick, the membership has become well aware of our scope clause. The 2001 contract watered down the C.R. Smith letter and rendered it useless by adding the language in article 1(e). I asked one of your R.O. guys what our outsourcing number was, he became frustrated and bellered out WE DONT HAVE ONE!!!!!!
