What the deal AMP

Ok this stuff is finally starting to get a chuckle out of me. I’m not sure Alex is anyone’s whipping boy particularly since the dude is the size of Herman Munster.

But anyway let me ask you. You don’t think the IAM would care about increasing their Scope as much as the TWU wouldn’t want any of there’s to shrink?

More heads mean more dues and more revenue.
More like lurch the butler i think. If they want to increase their scope, is the planto just say no? Or is the plan to let the twu protest for their benefits? Really what is the iam doing to help themselves? Other then ordering lunch from the twu? Where are the iam's protest's or plans or whatever?

Really weaasle what is the iam's plan?
Well, what are they doing to help themselves? Since the dont come to dallas maybe alex can bring some "what a burger"?

Dude I’m not an IAM Member despite the fact I’m supposedly working on their JetBlue organizing campaign over at FLL.

I’m TWU like you and haven’t got a real clue why they haven’t organized their own protests?

Is it that Contract language? When was that added? They did protest in 2014. Is it money? Is it lack of interest? Is it a different philosophy? Are they happy with what they have? Is this payback for TWA? Are they friends with Parker, Isom or Glass? Are they afraid of the Company? Were they waiting for their contract to expire?

Is there an answer I haven’t even thought of?

You know everybody, ask them.
But i think you have every excuse they can use covered.
In that case, what value is the association providing us? Twu members. EVERY TWU OFFICIAL will tell you the same line "im not a fan of the association!"
Why then do they keep cheering it on?
Gee if all or most of the twu presidents got together and crafted and signed a letter stating their disgust and frustration with the association, maybe our leaders will stop serving sito's lunch.
I think the presidents would be surprised at the support they would get from the floor.

I don’t know everybody in the IAM. I’ve talked to a handful of AGC’s and that’s it. I don’t know any of those big decision makers over there.

Dude what kind of sense does the rest of what you wrote make? It’s like shooting yourself in the foot to screw your own Lawyer. Even if your Lawyer was appointed for you, you don’t look to undermine him.

If what you said was true and they did write the type of letter you want I would call the whole thing GAME OVER. Might as well take whatever it is the Company still is gracious enough to offer us after that laughing stock happens.

Look man strictly and personally IMO the more you guys bash what you got because you don’t like it and want something else, the more I think this is going to drag on and on and on. It’s EXACTLY what I would do in the Company’s shoes. Wouldn’t you do the same thing?

BTW the Sito thing is a Boogeyman you guys all bought from that Nelson character. With not a single ounce of proof you bought in to everything Nelson says about him. C’mon man we can do better. The Company is the one who wants to bust your kneecaps.

Or we can just keep the charade going.

gen I’m curious? Why did they put the IAM on that flyer as being a participant in this protest? Are you sure no one is planning to attend?

Maybe the iam purchased advertising space?
You disappoint me, you just love throwing around names of people you know, now you dont know anyone?

I know a ton of people in the TWU, never claimed to know a ton of IAM guys. Should make sense since I’m not an IAM Member and only started getting to know people from Forums and after they announced the Association.

Seriously gen I’m not kidding. Go to the 141 and 142 websites and call a name or two that sound familiar to you. It’s really that easy to get to know people. (Can’t be shy)

The IAM came out with guns blazing stating Medical was their number one issue, PERIOD. CB made that perfectly clear and also stated his guys were his number one priority. You deny that all you want (wash and rinse comes to mind). When you tell members that you will not settle for ANYTHING that takes that away, then you pretty much are backed into a corner.

Didn't the IAM realize that Medical would be on the table?
The IAM agreed to become a partner with the TWU without a vote of the membership.

What would be the harm to go ahead and vote and ratfy the mechanics portion of the contract.?

Here we go again never ending. Can you show me “anything” in writing where the IAM (Or Association) stated that Medical is/was their #1 priority/issue?

It’s a high priority I’m sure. Just like Scope, Benefits, Retirement and Wages are too.

Any President or AGC has to represent the Members in his Cities first after protecting the entire Union as an existing entity first. Ask Fa if he represents MIA or DFW and I think he can answer as you should expect.

And CB said that he wouldn’t vote for ANYTHING that changes their Medical?

Because the TWU side also is NOT going to accept what the Company has offered to SELL OUT the future.

Haven’t you looked at ANY of Danker or Peterson’s videos?

Are you really that lost?

Yep, here we go again...go back and read years of posts here from CB and you will find it. BUT of course it wasn't on Association letter head (only CB updates) so according to you it really isn't official. At one time, wasn't CB one of the IAM negotiators (until the execs step in to expedite negotiations). Hows that working out. As for CB, why don't you ask him what his members said on day one and how felt. Has it changed now...I will admit that catering was there as well, but MEDICAL was the main concern.

Medical only became an issue for CB to talk about here when a bunch of posters started saying that they were going to lose it. I know for an absolute 100% certainty that the guy never talked about it before then.

And I’m also sure he was shocked and saddened how TWU guys on here were so quick to throw them under the bus for some reason that I will always be left scratching my head.

AANOTOK seriously SERIOUSLY WHY does it seem to “me” as if the IAM guys are more your enemy than the Company? Did you see how AA is funding our Pensions? Only 64%? Who’s your real enemy?

CB and the IAM mentioned it from day one. Not because of posters on here, give me a freaking break.

You mean a bit like us being under the bus when they didn't picket with us. Even disagreed with it.

As for you thinking I look at the IAM as the enemy, relax, SERIOUSLY. I have spoken to some IAM members and we are all good. They understand a little bit more than you and do not have a hatred or dislike for someone who disagrees with them. They understand it like adults.

Medical was always going to be a focus any way you cut it since there’s a noticeable difference between one half of the Association and the other. Obviously the Company was going to go for it. And even more so if they thought we had no problem with it ok our side.

What I can’t understand here NOTOK is why we need to badger chit daily? I want the IAM to picket too and have made that pretty clear. But badgering them over and over about it just comes across as weenieish as them not joining us.

It’s obvious you disagree. You want to vote period. You don’t care that your reps have said the Company hasn’t even put everything in writing. It’s missing a ton of fine print.

I also found in my life that most of the time the more you badger someone the more they get pissed off and want to do the opposite of what you’re badgering them about.
