What new route would you choose for US Airways

If SW is pulling out of the market, maybe there's a reason?

I think losing the route was part of their realignment of a/c for new routes. The flight does/did well, but it's another victim of being unable to grow a market due to lack of new A/C and opening of new markets. CO does AUS-EWR 3 times daily N/S using 737's and does very well because it connects to many East markets and Europe, US would do well doing the same also. AUS is not the same sleepy town it was when US pulled out of it 15 years ago.

southwest is really pulling back on PIT-PHL...we should start adding capacity back in this market. Especially with all the loyal USAir Frequent Traveler Program members in PIT who really want this route. Instead of letting a 767 or 330 sit on the ground in PHL for hours for an international turnaround..they should let it jet down to PIT on a quick turn and this would alleviate the commuter demand esp. for those of us who fly international. The Real Housewifes of Moon Township would be all over this!!

Extra special love for the "Real Housewives of Moon Township."

Does AUS-CLT do well? How about SAT/AUS-CLT onward connection to Europe?

My list:

PHL-CPH
PHL-WAW
PHL-Moscow
PHL-Berlin (whatever the new airport will be, BBI?)
PHL-Cairo
CLT-MAD
CLT-MAN
CLT-BOG
CLT-LIM
CLT-EZE
CLT-TLV
CLT-ZUR or GVA

Anything east cost to OKC,TUL,DSM,OMA,GRR,SLC,SNA

anyone have any idea how Delta is doing with their newish SYD service? would be curious about cargo revenue and load factors...like the idea of a 1 stop to SYD (HKG or NRT) via HNL.
How about seasonal service from PHL/CLT to REF? easy with a 757.
PHL-JNB or CPT (could do a stop in CAI) would be amazing...wouldn't want to work it with the crew rest footstools!

AUS is one of the fastest growing cities in the US, however the problem in AUS is gate space.
We only have one and one share. Every gate in AUS is used.
OKC would be a nice return market. F9 is getting ready to offer service to Florida.

DCA-PHL mainline!
Those who come from Israel and wants to travel in First class to DC should not fly to BWI 9that is for the DCA-TLV segmant. there will be no option for F class on the return)

If what you say is true, then perhaps the company feels it's cheaper letting the 767 or 330 sit on the ground instead of paying crews, fuel, landing fees and all of the other expenses that go with operating a flight segment. Heck, why not just charter a 767 or 330 for employees only?

And how many of you are willing to write the checks to cover the losses on some of these dream lists?

DCA-PHL mainline!
on times that will provide good connections to TLV. I believe there are 1 to 2 daily mainline flights between those destinations which is on times that does not have good connections to TLV.
US - DCA is one for your focus cities. You can do better on the PHL-DCA route especially when UA also don't operate mainline flights between the cities. for the DC-TLV flight, BWI is an average option. But on the TLV-DC flight you don't provide any good option for F class connections. So please add another PHL-DC flight to either DCA or BWI which will allow good F connections.
