What a shame that USAirways along with America West was not liquidated. Really, what can you expect when the two worst airlines (dirtiest, filthiest, nastiest) combine. Couple that with a complete disregard for employees and customers and you have nothing but a miserable experience for everyone involved. Message to employees....SAVE YOURSELF and YOUR SOUL get out now!!

Q: What's better than the new USAirways?
A: Anything....

Wow 1 post and your already a pro huh? I take it by your username you've only be alive that long? Well it's obvious you don't know anything about how free market capitalism works in this country. It don't matter how nasty or dirty something looks if there's alot of money to be made.

I am by no means an expert. I am well aware of how the "free" market works. Why bilk your stockholders and employees out of their money just once, (ie 1st bankruptcy) when you can do it twice, (second one).

No matter what you call it or how you define it abuse is abuse is abuse. Employees can justify it anyway they wish. But, in the end you are in an abusive relationship, that will only get more abusive. Doug Parker and the rest of AW team abhor the East Coast people. Can't you see that??!! Don't you feel it in your soul and in your heart.
One solution is to follow the contract to the letter. Please do you really think anyone (including your passengers give a damn about your contract?). All passengers want is a way to get from point A to point B, with their bags, on time, in a clean aircraft. Is that really so hard??? Really? Is it??

And as Gordon Bethune said in a recent interview, they also feel entitled to a room at the Four Seasons if the flight on which they hold that $100 ticket cancels.

See, that is just it you people don't get it. Why should it matter to YOU how much a passenger spends on an airline ticket. Perhaps your company should provide you with a manifest before each flight on how much each pax paid. Would that help. Then you can know who you should treat like s**t. Oh wait, according to you that is all of your passengers.
In the end I get it. You are in an abusive relationship, with no shelter to run to. You are too scared or too lazy to find something else, so you take out your frustrations on the people who deserve it the least. Which leads me back to my original thought. What a shame that your airline wasn't liquidated.

Why should it matter to YOU how much a passenger spends on an airline ticket.
Because managment makes up for all that by taking it out of our hides!!!! Rampers, FA's, pilots, etc. all pay for that crap.

You're not going to win this one.

I am not here to win. I have nothing invested. But just for the sake of a debate, please tell me this.

You have the choice of buying a televsion, one costs 200.00 dollars and the other costs 100.00. Both allow you to view all the channels, both allow you to adjust the volume, both plug into the wall. So, you are telling me that you would buy the one the costs 200.00 dollars, because you feel sorry for the employees who work at the company who (by the way) treat you like dirt. Well, good for you!!

Another prime example of how The New USAirways has created a group of employees who exhibit the Stockholm Syndrome.

Which brings me back to my original premise. USAirways should have been liquidated.

August 1989 was probably the year of termination with US. Abuse seems to be the underlying problem here. We must be sensitive to Augie because he/she's anger stems from an odor that can't be detected. Augie, this is not SouthWest's page. Hope you get some serious therapy in the near future.
Oh and by the way, most of the threads on these pages are from passengers who for the most sake feel our pain.

Ah, come on here people, anyone who was a former PI person knows the meaning of his username.....8/5/89 was the day of the PI & US Merger, or the beginning of the end as many of us reference it by... :eek:
