He supports open borders by comparing canada labor and U.S. labor, might as well throw in Latin America where they outsource his work lol...No he’s a Trump supporter
What does the SCOPE look like? AMFA has shown a History of being able to get top of the Industry wages to the detriment of giving away work such as Overhaul.
As long as AMFA protects the work their AME's currently perform they should do just fine. Westjet doesn't perform heavy maintenance/overhauls in house.
New update posted. Now it's time for the AME's to vote on the new TA2 @ WestJet. I am sure they are proud to get their first contract done and past them, but, we await the final results. As long as AMFA took care of the concerns of the membership from the failed TA, it should pass the membership voting hands down. Tally will be done on the 12th. Should be a great turnout as this group has been showing unity from the get go...
With AMFA representation they likely never will. Just being completely honest about it.
Westjet AME's were pretty amazing in both position and participation solidarity - well over 90% in both
With any other union they likely wouldn't as well - No union has forced a company to bring heavy maintenance in house when it previously was never done.
... just being completely honest about it.
According to an AMFA update that’s what they said. I’m not sure I believe any Union claims hitting 97%.
I wish we could find a Facebook Group page or Reddit thread to gauge the realities.
So why do you think AMFA National doesn’t want to share the full details of the TA publicly?
Forced? No. Of course not. Convince is another matter. The Company and Union need to be willing partners.
Yes, according to AMFA with results from an ElectionBuddy tally - ElectionBuddy is essentially the Canadian Ballotpoint.
The realities are clearly played out on the reddit streams I've read, maybe you're not looking hard enough.
Who says AMFA National doesn't want to share the details?
Westjet has no equivalent to Tulsa, and they do not perform heavy maintenance in house.
The Tulsa base was already in existence, and heavy maintenance was already being performed. The TWU worked with AA setting production goals - I saw no mention of any of this being cast in contractual language or part of a CBA negotiation.
The article does bring up some interesting items ...
What happened to TAESL?
What happened to Alliance?
What happened to the Kansas City maintenance base?
Hero. Stop 🛑 always being ready to shoot your wireless hole puncher.
Let me “try” “try” “try” to “ask” this without you putting up your wall.
Do you have or know of any links to the full TA? Not looking to trigger you.
Yes I’m well aware of my Company’s business moves in and going into concessions and bankruptcies. I also knew you would respond with them (The wall)
Forgetting all the Union acronyms. Someone here (Maybe you) I remember bringing up that (Non Union) Delta was bringing in OAL work for overhauls? AA and SWA don’t seem to want to go that route. Does UAL?
Who's triggered?
This is nothing more than your standard thread MO - make thinly veiled slights, then try and act put off when you get called on it.
UAL used to perform heavy visit/project work for OAL customers, that went away when UAL closed OAK and most of SFO lines.
UAL still does Line MX work for several airlines, as well as component & engine work.
Slights against who? You? AMFA? So to you “anything” I write absolutely must have a hidden agenda. I guess I can’t have an “opinion”
Why couldn’t you just answer the simple question though?
