We Are Now 'in Play'

Actually... Lorenzo at one point did plan to start a new airline, some years ago, and was denied a licence on the basis of unfit management. I think it was to be based at BWI. That's about all I recall on the subject.

Sky high states: The guy's 65 years old now. The only thing he needs to start is...............his day with Metamucil.

This could ruin USA320's UCT with U being the surviving entity! Would Branson want the employees too? How would employee intergration be handled? Savy

If there is a buyout it will be assets (which there is mostlikely few as they are most likely fully calatoroaized. No one would want to purchase stock and get with it all the liabilities (creditors, litigation, employees, employee senority and pension issues) Just buy routes and any unhocked aircraft

Lorenzo was banned by the Department of Justice and Department of Transportation to ever be involved with an airline again.

I'm suprised that Frank Lorenzo hasn't made a bid for U.S.AIRWAYS. Since Frank is George W.'s type of guy, he shouldn't have any problems being allowed to run an airline again. Lorenzo loves bankrupting airlines and stealing from their employees. He would be a perfect fit for U.S.Air.

Your ignorance is quite amusing...refer to the previous quote from 700 on this page.....He is correct.. A##hole Lorenzo has NOTHING to do with the aviation industry, hasn't for many years!! Where the hell have you been?? Nice try to try and inject politics into this thread, "PRINCESS"......TRY AGAIN!!! The President has NOTHING to do with YOUR current situaton! Get over the election....Move on.....and stick to talking about a subject that you at least have some knowlege!!
GOOD DAY!!!!!!

US Airways does not consider the Sallijo Freeman bankruptcy court filing as legitimate, however, the company is in play. The airline is in final equity investor discussions and could obtain its financing from a venture capitalist, another airline, or RSA.

Best regards,

It's not Bronner's decision. He has already lost his investment in the company, barring some stroke of fate.

And it's not your cash. It belongs to the creditors...they are contractually owed money. You may have a moral claim to the cash, but bankruptcy laws don't look at that.

Thats right, morality and law are no longer related.

Thats why we should not worry whether or not its legal, so long as it is moral.

They're closely related. If you loaned someone money, would it be moral for the legal system to not protect your investment? Morality, like taxation, is often relative.

SL writes: This is the same company that didn't consider the high price of fuel, the LCC coming to PHL, ect...ect....ect...

Enough said.

Any news on this group this week?
