I realise you only fly the right seat, but this is what you have to look forward should you ever make it. Must be nice to work for such a cheapA$$. If i were you, i'd be asking Doogie for some of that $4billion cash he wants to give to Delta!!! He must love havin' lapdogs such as yourself.

If you can't find US Airways on the list, do what comes naturally, look all the way down at the bottm, and there you are.

That's a real nice "hourly" chart and that's fine. The truth is, my neighbor is a 737 Capt for DAL and I'm a 737 Capt for LCC and I'm going to make more then he is on my W2 for the year. How can that be you say??? DAL has a lower monthly max for the month then we do. If I'm not mistaken they fly about 78 to 80 hrs per month. Many months I fly atleast 10 to 15 more hours a month then he does. Yes I work more days but if you get the right trips you can make it easy days. Yes, alot of those rates are better then LCC, but when you take what LCC flies per month, we usually make more for the year!!

Nice chart, but really doesn't tell the whole story. Many times at LCC the company goes to 95 hours for the month, again that about 17 more hours then DAL! That's why some of our W2's are bigger then the higher rate carriers! :D

Ya, not sure if I'd be too proud of flying to 95 hours, and getting a bigger w2, especially with a LOT of pilots still on furlough. Especially with the 190 rates that were voted in. Especially, with......well never mind, you get the idea.

I might work a few days more, but my W2 is bigger than yours. Think I'd rather be home those couple of days...

yikes. I am torn, because I despise 320 and his ilk so much...but please do not confuse your trip on the elevator down with U's trip up. I am not proud to say that you have NO experience in this wonderful trip called BK. U is on it's second trip out, and at least moving forward for the near future. You just lost your retirement to the PBGC today, and face at least another contract adjustment to come out of BK. U pilots are now setting the bar for pay rates at ALPA going forward. That is simply something you cannot do at this point in the process. I hate all this mess, I really do. But in the end, if all things are perfect, the U and DAL pilots (God forbid this mess goes forward) will have a common interest...and it will not be management. I understand the emotions, but don't let 320 be your view of the average U pilot...I think you will come to be our friends, whatever the outcome of this mess. Best. Greeter.

Delta777:

Thanks for the information. US Airways has indicated their merger plan takes into account raising employee costs to the highest pay and benefits for each work group, which the company estimates would be about a $90 million per year charge.

In regard to my seniority I have been blessed. I have been a Captain for 17+ of my 21.5 year's of service. Moreover, I am close to holding a B-767 International Captain position, which could happen this spring considering US Airways' pilot attrition and seasonal European expansion.

By the way, did you see the Delta Creditor's Committee statement today? As I indicated yesterday, I understand that US Airways' hostile takeover is just beginning. For more information click here.

And a part of the reason for "Please remember we still have 1,656 pilots on furlough with 175 of those pilots working at Jets for Jobs carriers" instead of

Delta to accept new pilot applications

Jim

Jim, of all people you should know. Being on reserve you CAN'T pass, they call...you go. You can't call out of time. oh, I forgot, you were a blockholder, sorry. A resreve has to take the trip. You should have realized that Jim before you made a comment like we are all out there hogging time. You tell me being on reserve how I can call out of time...next time scheduling calls I'll tell them Jim said I don't have to take this trip that we have guys on furlough! Please, some of the stuff you put out here is good then you make that comment and it makes me wonder! And No I'm not proud of flying 95 hours but that's how the system works.

Very well said. I don't want this thing to go through-but if it does, I certainly don't want all of us to hate each other before we even begin the cluster**** of merging.

Well, any comment?

As a newly elected Rep. and part of ALPA's RC4, when would now be a good time to let go of your anger and learn some decorum, especially since you ran unopposed in your recent election?

I will agree with you on one point, I despise you and your partners ilk so much for the damage you did to this pilot group by not listening to the ALPA president, ALPA professional negotiator, ALPA director of representation, every ALPA international advisor, every ALPA financial and legal advisor, and two-thirds of the MEC. You and the people you support gave the pilots LOA 93 and now we have to fight for the comapny's LOA 93 opener. How dumb is that?

Sorry, I took it from you comment about the 95 hr cap and flying to the cap (the 17 hrs more than a DLpilot remark) that you were a blockholder since that cap only applies to blockholders. You did seem proud of that W-2 being bigger than those DL folks, though....

Of course, that's why DL is hiring off the street and LCC has thousands on furlough--they (DL) don't seem to be quite as willing to toss the young under the bus.

No, not proud of it. I pay my bills on what I BRING home in my pay...NOT my hourly rate and that's all you see posted for comparison is the rate. On reserve I make more then a blockholder...and be done flying in October! Have November and December off! Can only fly 1000 hours per year.
