The Transformation Plan Power Point Presentation presented to the Labor Leaders earlier this month and last Tuesday to the Station Managers creates a LCC/Network Airline Hybrid business model with 75% point-to-point and 25% hub flying. The plan takes the best business aspects of America West and JetBlue, both of who are profitable and growing companies.

Today America West annonced it will add 22 Airbus planes to its fleet as part of its plan to increase its business by 8 to 10 percent in 2005 and 2006.

When would now be a good time for labor and management to reach cost effective agreements to permit US Airways to grow its business and return to profitability, versus continuing to lose money and eventually fail?

wonder where HP is getting the other airbuses from (since not all are coming from france)

secondly, whatever happen to the 280 airbus options /slots Uair owns?

have they been selling thosE positions like Crandell did with AA757 slots? every 5th one paid for 1 757 he did same thing with 80s in the 80s.

if not it could Be source of cash.low 1998 price locks in 2004...hmmmm
