There were many IAM members at UniTED that voted 1000's out of a job, remember that IAM. Hence the closing of INDY and OAK and lots of furloughs. I hope the mechanics at USAIR stand tuff and show management and the IAM that enough is enough.

I do believe there will be some upcomming strike or strikes....
Could be baggage handlers...Could be Mechanics...Could be Flight Attendants...Could be CWA Reservations & Airport personnel....Could be all of them in their own time and own time table...
Could be a rough travel time for the passengers, this holiday season...
There is really nothing to lose now, when everything is being taken away from good people....
The company now is wearing the BLACK HAT... like Andrew Carnegie, when he used the armed thugs to attack union members, years ago....
The company lost the Airbus farming out case.... and still does more of the same....Shameful....
When you back a dog in a corner, he has no choice but to bite back !

Dude, are you disagreeing with article? Proposals from the company to IAM-F/S, IAM-M, and CWA are all available for all to look at. Each one, if memory serves me correctly, says will contract all work out if can find someone who will do it more cost effecient. IMO this is saying we want the current employees OUT and will work towards that goal.

When this company finally goes under for the last time, I hope the likes of Glass, Crelin and Lakefield are all held personally accountable for the blundering mismanagement of this company. It's almost criminal the amount of money they are taking while pleading poverty to the judge. It is no longer a question of IF the company will collapse, but WHEN.....
