Knives, box cutters and duct tape were allowed on planes until security tightened. Security tightened because terrorists actually used knives and box cutters to hijack the planes on 9/11, right? Bush was the President at that time, right? The President of The United States IS responsible for attacks on his Country, right? What's so silly about what I said? I don't think that AA and UA knew what the terrorists had on their person, or what they were planning on doing with their hardware weapons, since security at that time was still a seperate operation, right? Security was begging for an update, and unfortunately totally innocent people had to die before it was accomplished. It's called beurocracy, and giant entities suffer from it.
