Do the General Chairman, Assitant General Chairman, the Negotiating Committee, Grand Lodge Reps, Airline Coordinator or the GVP of Transportation ratify the contract?

NOPE!

The MEMBERSHIP votes on it and they are the ones who decide to ratify or not, is that too hard for you to understand?

700, I will agree with you that Usairways IAM membership are jellyfish,

BUT, I remember the membership voting NO on a previous concessionary proposal ONLY to have to go thru a RE-VOTE on the same POS !!

Only after the membership bombarded the company and the company said it would conduct its own ratification vote.

And the decision to revote came from the International.

The stalker says if you felt so strongly that it shouldn't pass why didn't you say screw the IAM if they can't put their stamp of disapproval on it. No you backed them and still back the IAM and blame the members when in reality the IAM had no gonads. How can you expect any kind of solidarity, which is the main preach word unions use, when the union won't show the members which way they should solidify?

Yes the very confused members that voted it down bombarded the company for an unprecedented revote. We know as that is the hearsay

Then why did it pass a second time mr know-it-all?

And this is not a court of law.

Therein is the point maybe members had the gonads when the IAM didn't?

Funny how you skipped replying to my post before last.

I did not see it.

Well maybe you should contact your local and find out about the strike vote.

Like I said the coworkers had no gonads to take on the company.

The contract was all ready terminated and they were probably scared to take on the company. The IAM told the members what their choices were and they membership are the ones who decided the fate.

Just like during the airbus dispute, the membership had no gonads to take on the company.

The company was burning down their house one room at a time and they did nothing to stop it.

Like I said the IAM had no gonads to take a stand either way on company and just dropped it in the laps of the membership and then you the one who said you were so involved with union choose to diss the membership for taking a stand (provided it wasn't just a straw vote and not really the stand the membership took and realy the IAM stand.) when the IAM wouldn't. You proved my point again Thank You 700

Signed The Stalker

700 says ""Just like during the airbus dispute, the membership had no gonads to take on the company. ""

Can you also explain the above statement?

The mechanics would not work by the book nor go on strike when judge cindrich ruled it a major dipsute.

Wildcat strike? Was there a strike vote that was voted down? Did the IAM tell the membership what to do?

You do not need a strike vote when the courts declare a major dispute which Judge Cindrich did. It is a legal strike under the RLA.

And the Leadership of the IAM went to EVERY maintenance station held meetings and walked the property and the membership cleary stated they would not walk to protect their work.

Like I said, no gonads. The line utility worked by the book, yet the mechanics could care less in my station.

I think this could spell the end of UA as we know it. God then A320 will be crowing about how he was right.

There Q4 loss was something like 644 Million wasn't it? So now we see the mechs reject the contract. Straw that breaks the camels back?

Wishful thinking Bob. Remember Christmas at U? I know many passengers haven't forgotten. Stop wishing for the demise of others and ffocus on yourselves.

People say lots of thing in meetings and privately.. was there a strike vote or not put out by the IAM? Or did you expect the membership to take the lead and wildcat it?

You know there was not a strike mr clt base.

Are they members? Did they vote?

The question is did they provide any leadership or did they just kind of step back and not provide any alternate direction?

Stop blaming the members for the IAMs lack of leadership. Its hypocritical to demand that the members financially support these guys but then excuse them from their obligation to lead.
