Interesting article. Part of that money was spent lobbying about pensions???? Thought that was a "done deal"

Between that and the new "newsletter" that's a lot of money to be spending!

Past pensions are a done deal.
With UA lobbying for pensions means they seek to get rid of the little that is now offered. (except for the big boys )

Honestly 1.4 million doesnt sound like a lot compared to what I would imagine a company UA's size would spend for lobbying. I'd imaging they do a lot of lobbying for everything from things that effect all airlines like more money to the FAA to improve the aging ATC to local things that impact just UA's interests like additional goverment infrastructure investments in its hubs like DEN, SFO, IAD and LAX for runways and terminals and stuff.
