This is the twu. They haven't changed a bit ; they will do anything to keep their cushy union jobs.
 
If they are out on the AA ramp, could it be that they know that overhaul is leaving, and want to suck up to the ramp?

The reason for this is the change in leadership. Little's gone and Lombardo is attempting to undo the damage done by ol Jimmy.
We can only hope that the change he seeks is concrete and just smoke and mirrors. 
 
They actually put out a press release that says "for the first time"?

Wow. They are even more incompetent than I thought, and that is real stretch.
 
I actually talked to them when they were in Tulsa.  I was wearing my AMFA pin and they didn't like it.  I told them a lot of the kool aid drinkers were gone and a bunch of bitter, angry, old men were left with no prospect of retirement.  A stock clerk went by on a fork lift and I asked why they thought AMTs deserved less sick time benefits than everyone else?  "We had to make a lot of tough decisions." was the answer.  When I asked how any union can treat one group inside their union differently and push inferior benefits on them I got the "We had to make a lot of tough decisions."  So I said it looks like business as usual.  I told them that AMTs should have the same benefits as everyone else in the TWU and the TWU members should have at least the same benefits as management who gave up nothing to save the airline.  I also asked if the TWU would ever tell the other title groups that there would be no improvement to their pay or benefits until title 1 and title 2 got their sick pay, longevity and the extra 2.5% pay back that was extorted from us in 2003?  I got blank stares from that one.  Obviously the TWU would never allow us to get any of that back without the other groups getting equal value even though they never gave this stuff up.  So much for unionism.  And they wonder why we sign AMFA cards?
 
Talk is cheap and meaningless at this point. Actions will decide if the change was successful. I have given up over $500,000 dollars in pay and benefits under the twu the last 10 years. Creditors got 100% return in bankruptcy, our return is negative when considering all the factors. I have heard nothing but talk from the TWU and excuses. Do not talk just to talk. Prove yourselves by actions and quantifiable returns to the members or stay home.
 
This is exactly what the teamsters did at SWA when they were threatened by a new union coming in and taking over. WOW! You guys have been represented by the TWU since 1946 and this is the first time they came to the "floor" to get valuable input and feedback from the membership. How freakin pathetic, but very laughable...

Good God grow some nads and replace them. I am tired of hearing you guys complain about them, GET RID OF THEM!!!
 
The frustration comes from knowing we need to get rid of them and convincing people to do it.  So many people are afraid of the unknown.  I say we have nothing to lose.  The TWU has given away our pay and benefits and now has given AA a way to take our jobs.  But lots of people believe what they hear even if they hear the same lies over and over.  Hopefully enough road blocks went out the door after they sold us out with their yes votes.
