Title 2 is starting to realize that amfa is not what the twu claims they are. First off title 2 is no longer under cargo and is now under aircraft maintenance with the new airline far as the company is concerned. Secondly the twu has stated that next negotiations there will be only 3 negotiators from AA and 3 negotiators from USA Air. The 3 presidents from AA will go from local 591,514, and 567. They said since title 2 does not have their own president their voice will be through those presidents above. With amfa you have your own negotiating chairman and committee to negotiate. Title 2 has slid backwards and regardless of what anyone says, title 2 head count has been cut in half and have created different payscales dividing the ranks.
With the airline doug parker and his team are not fuzzy friendly towards keeping title 2 just look at us air and their title 2 as a guide post.
Your best fighting chance is to have your group represented by your own people and that is exactly what amfaprovides for title 2. You control your negotiations and you make the final decision just like stores did with the last bk negotiations and negotiated their own terms. Why wouldn't want that for title 2 ?
you can......sign an amfa card and give your members a voice
The best advice I can give to our title 2 members is stop listening to hearsay and ask an amfa organizer questions about amfa or any concerns you may have. I assure you that any response from an organizer will be supported by documentation and/or facts.
at least see why 90 percent of the line sign amfa cards consistently. What is it that draws them back
everytime?
BTW.... twu local 501 has threatened title 2 members not to hand out amfa cards or else.....
