The new fAAmily is feuding already!

As if theater isn't part of the whole reason why airline mergers are highly risky business?

At what point does someone tell the actors that there is a business to run and they need to take their acts to the sidelines?

Nothing more than a last ditch effort by AFA to keep the dues $$$$ flowing. Look for the infamous Bull to reappear......

Not surprising, but I have to wonder how much of that is legit, and how much is theater?

I don't know, just glad I'm retiring in a couple of years.  I was against this merger from the start, hope it works out for the best.

it's going to take hard work and an absence of the typical union infighting which has sunk many airline mergers in the past.

"Regardless of agreeable statements by APFA for seeking an industry-leading contract, the standard utilized in the CLA is industry-average as compared to United and Delta. This standard would produce concessions for US Airways Flight Attendants and squander an opportunity for a better contract for American Flight Attendants."

Is is true that US FA's current contract is better than UA & DL FA's...that to be at parity with them would be a concessionary contract?

DL management and the No Way IAM crowd are having a field day with this one, keep the discord coming. DL and the unorganized FAs there sure appreciate this and want no part of this madness. Awesome to stand by and watch such an openly bitter and ugly fighting among labor unions.

Probably more a issue of Laura's and Roger's "team" manufacturing an "important" crisis that will require face to face meetings to address the problem.

Anyone else notice the scheduled meeting the day before Thanksgiving?

Imagine that, a crisis that needs the whole team on Flight Pay Loss to address. One can only imagine the duress of Roger's and Laura's "team" members as they are pulled off their Thanksgiving Holiday trips to solve the "crisis"

Play their cards right and they can milk this through the Super Bowl.

I think it's funny...  Not even a week and already signs of the reality sinking in....    Can't wait to start hearing the "we bought you..." lines.

You wanted merger?  You got merger...
It's what you all wanted... correct?
I hope that you were prepared for this, considering you wanted it so much.

I am sure though that the government will be there to help ya o.....    Ohh wait.  The government was only worried about making sure that people flying in and out of IT, could do so cheaply in the coming years.  They got their 50 sum slots back for re-allocation to low fare carriers...  That's all they cared about.

Ohhh well, I guess that'll be your guys' fight.  You'll have to figure it out on your own.  We (the government) got what we needed.

Don't count on arbitrators or anything like that....

Now sit back and watch the fireworks....

the evidence is measured by what they actually have and not the size of the unfounded promises they can make.

Too bad AA or Usairways cant just hamstring a union vote, then threten the vocal ones...it always seems to put worker drones back in lockstep..

Worked well for the new delta"..
