sounds like walmart air to me wally world and dl might as well join forces ive seen it first hand yrs ago a walmart employee getting "punished" by their own employer for trying to organize id be willing to bet u that there a hell of a lot ex nwa and current dl employees who would want to be union than not..... naturally the demos have changed at dl... yet out of those 4 or 5 rr how many of them are covered w benefits... my bet 0737823 said:Organizers are being disciplined/terminated? I find that very unlikely, CBA or not there are considerable legal protections against retribution of employees for partaking in organizing drives DL isn't stupid, they will comply with the law and remain neutral to the extent required. Again, DL has said repeatedly they respect employees right to choose and they have and will if your co-workers want to become organized. Time and time again they have rejected representation. Get over it, the IAM is gone and NWA no longer exists. The demographics at DL have changed over the three years, considerable RRs have been hired. Potentially 4-5+ RRs could backfill a single staunch pro-IAM ex-NW ramper, and all else equal RRs are less likely to support joining a union.Josh
One would hope.737823 said:Are they taking appropriate legal action with the support of the union?

So you acknowledge the demographics have changed and now being three years (and counting) without representation many of the pm-NW folks that are still around have seen the light of being unorganized? In the decert thread you stated DL would outsource most all stations within 18 months and that never happened. Maybe DL needs the help of the IAM to make that happen! I mean they're generally willing to do whatever it takes to begin collecting from the new dues payers. You keep harping about DL not having m/l ramp at MIA, do you think under IAM representation they would? MIA is Express for UA under the IAM why is that ok but not for DL?Kev3188 said:One would hope.

Putting words in people's mouths is so gauche...737823 said:So you acknowledge the demographics have changed and now being three years (and counting) without representation many of the pm-NW folks that are still around have seen the light of being unorganized?
