or realistic...

I did not create the situation, I am only dealing with it. I am only suggesting people do the same.

Delusional is to think there is no problem.

Deceptive is to tell people that they can just do nothing and everything will magically work out...

Sorry Air Cal man,

We've seen it, we've swallowed it, we've choked on it, we've puked on it. We've been there. I'm not going back to the same salary I made in 1982. Unlike some untrainable people, most of us have skills that will carry us beyond US. Just like Dave at Gate Gourmet, life goes on. But I'll be dam_ed if I continue to bust my hump for some so_ at the top so that he/she can pay for his 5th house and 3rd yacht.

You state opinion as fact. NO COURT to my knowledge has ruled against US. "Take it or leave it" IS a negotiating tactic. It is usually used when you hold all or most of the cards as management did then. Pushing contracts to their limits & forcing a union to use it's limited financial resources to defend is also a negotiating tactic.

The fact that the Unions at U were ill prepared to address the "hardball" tactics is an issue that should be addressed at election time.

As for debating the morality of these tactics it would be impossible since in that area I think we agree.

As I understand this line of thinking, the CWA and IAM "are" addressing the companys latest "hardball" tactics.
