We've seen it, we've swallowed it, we've choked on it, we've puked on it. We've been there. I'm not going back to the same salary I made in 1982. Unlike some untrainable people, most of us have skills that will carry us beyond US. Just like Dave at Gate Gourmet, life goes on. You state opinion as fact. NO COURT to my knowledge has ruled against US. "Take it or leave it" IS a negotiating tactic. It is usually used when you hold all or most of the cards as management did then. Pushing contracts to their limits & forcing a union to use it's limited financial resources to defend is also a negotiating tactic.

The fact that the Unions at U were ill prepared to address the "hardball" tactics is an issue that should be addressed at election time.

As for debating the morality of these tactics it would be impossible since in that area I think we agree.
