Tempe Going CHEAP on the A330-200's

YES, YES, YES!!
TEMPE READS THESE BOARDS

(in my opinion)

ha ha ha ha ha HA!! I can't even say anything except shove my face full of fries so I dont actually SAY anything and then nod something that may resemble yes , but isn't completely clear. Then I would turn around and show you welts from spankings of days past having to do with some thing I might have typed somewhere....oops I'm off topic again. I thought we were talking about Wendys. Which is where I work. Not your fine airline. What's a Tempe? I thought that was what you checked when you think you're sickie?

Oh well. Happy Friday beaches!!

All very good, legitimate points, Piney.

But we employees (and the customers that remain)have to hope that things will change...and we must do our best to facillitate positive change for US.

I have reason to believe that there are BIG things afoot. Big, mostly positive changes for the airline, the employees and the customers.
(and it's not handheld devices to charge for cokes)

For the first time in a few years, I'm optimistic that SERIOUS steps are going to be taken to correct our horrendous customer service issues.

But until the REAL changes start occurring, we need to keep talking about WHAT is wrong and HOW it can be fixed....hopefully it will get through to Sandcastle( or maybe the PHL "satellite hdqtrs")

One thing that they can do is to launch the A330-200's correctly: with F/A crew bunks(appropriate tools for our job) and at least 32-33" seat-pitch in coach(or, with God's help, Premium Economy!!) for our customers satisfaction...or to AT LEAST...meet their expectations.

TEMPE--if they do this right, can make this A/C competitive from the outset...but it doesn't sound like they're going to do it.....

WE MUST COMPETE WITH OTHER AIRLINES FOR PASSENGERS IN ORDER TO SURVIVE!!

I heard that the "Brunch" concept in Envoy is being rethinked ( is that a word?). HELLER! I said this when they first annnounced it. Europeans DONOT Do Brunch!

Now you have the folks in PHX scratching their heads.

Maybe a pizza buffet would work.

We all told them. But they said no worries. Kev Jackson said just throw a sport coat on anything and it dresses it up. Didn't you attend "Salad School" in Charlotte? God, these people are complete morons. Yes, I hear the same thing about brunch. Look at what's leftover to the states. French Toast and Pancakes. 3/4 the cabin ask for chicken/pasta. Other 1/4 are stuck with Eggs and the crew (crew meals) won't eat the French Toast. It's nasty. I can't wait to see what service they have in store for TLV. Even so I wish them a Merry Christmas. My the lord grant them some muse or wisdom. They deserve a lump of coal from Santa for sure.

If you're part of the Tempe brain trust, French Toast makes perfect sense for these flights. After all, when you are serving it it's breakfast time in Tempe. And time zones are waaaaaay beyond their comprehension.

Listen, I understand the concept, but I think your message is being lost in far too much rhetoric.

There's a point where your message gets lost in the delivery.

And can we please stop calling HP 'regional'... we stopped being regional a LONG time ago.

Mesa is Regional.

We're just cheap.

There is a difference.

A long time ago? You did? By all accounts actions still speak louder than words. Stop acting like a regional and maybe you won't be labled as such!

What many either choose to ignore or are just plain east centric is that the East was a

regional airline compared to ANY transatlantic carrier of consequence.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

no offense but you guys only stopped being regional after the merger
amerca west was both a regional and a cheap airline.
america west wasn't considered a "legacy" carrier
us air was always part of "the big six".
america west's routes were primarily concentrated in the south western region of the US.
the word "WEST" is in the name america west...some people might call "the west" a region of the US.
being cheap was also the result of competing with another regional airline ...southwest

"WEST" is in the name america west...s
And we are so much more important because we can't compete after 2 yes 2 BK's?

So we can do it so much better?

Talk is SO cheap! Of course everything was going just "ducky".

How much did you lose before the merger?

At least 30% I would guess from my own experience-how about you?

Was the East regional going to do any better?

The hubris and/or stupidity is terrifying if I hadn't been around it so much.

To not make the distinction between west people and west management is extremely shortsighted or stupid.

Are you too proud to acknowledge that there are people who
work just as hard as you and (who had NO say in what took place) yet you are able to insult them?

I wonder what the the UAL people would have to say about the sophisticated "Global carrier of choice."

Be careful what you wish for, be grateful for what you have.

Merry Christmas to all and to all...

out of the legacy carriers...yes we've always been the underdogs...and the weakest, smallest and most vulnerable...
alls i was sayin was that there isn't anything wrong with being a regional...it's not a dirty word really its no big deal. america west was an airline that dealt primarily within a corner of our country...no need to get all upset about it.
