Wow!!! About as confrontational and uncomfortable as it gets. While i am not exactly a fan of Doogie's, (for obvious reasons) i almost pitied him for a moment when Specter was drilling him.

DOUG GOT BIT** SLAPPED! The truth is Doug is so arrogant that he thinks everyone will bend to his will! The fact is that US Airways has always lied to everyone. They think they don't have to listen to anyone. If he doesn't wake up he will drive this company the same way Lorenzo did at Eastern. When is USAirways going to realize they owe the commonwealth of PA a lot. I have seen how a CEO can destroy a business and we are not far from that end. He refuses to deal with labor, local governments and state governments. Wake up Doug before you drive this company into the ground!!!!!!!!

How much of this is show with Arlen? Isn't he up for reelection in 2008? Being he's from the Philadelphia area (former PHL DA), doesn't this show he has the 'best interest' in mind for his western PA constituents?

Doug performed well at this conference, I am impressed. Interesting comments about Delta, consolidation, lack of discussion with the pilot's union on PIT severance packages, and mention of USAir's imminent liquidation two or three times throughout the conference.
