Well, gee, why don't we just break up AA like the old Ma Bell? Let's chop it up into intra-Texas, southwest U.S., transcon, and international companies. Just for good measure, let's slap a 25% surcharge on the AA tickets (any of the Baby AA's), and just hand that over to Southwest, because WN IS GREAT AND I CANT WAIT TO PIC APART NASTY AA THEY ARE HORRIBLE CAN I EARN MILES ON MY PRICELINE TXKS THANX AA SURE DOES SUCK SUCKS SUCKS SUCKS SUCKS

No...let's just remove the unfair legislative restrictions to fair competition that aid AA. They are the ONLY carrier to benefit as largely as they do by legislation. Let's have real business and not a protected carrier...

OK, But when AA responds don't talk about what's unfair at ALL! Allow the carrier a TRUE opportunity to compete and I think they will. Its funny how people talk out of two necks about Wright. If you want it open then don't tell AA not to flood ith34r:

I think if you read everyone's responses, you won't really see "two necks about Wright".

IMHO, if American wants to run a dual operation, like they're asking SWA to do
:blink: (oh, excuse me, DFW is), knock yourself out.

If you'd like to do this, do it within the parameters set (Love Field Master Plan), gates and facilities available. (oh yeah, AA already has, on a limited basis, and failed miserably). <_<

I know your definition of "TRUE opportunity" is going to be different than mine, but try to realize that SWA isn't going to help AA compete at Love, just like American wouldn't welcome SWA to DFW with cake and ice cream.

"Flood it" is not competing, it's trying to bully a point, and EXACTLY the reason SWA doesn't want to see it's jets surrounded by polished aluminum at DFW. We like our jets in the air.
