The title of your post is a bit misleading...

Being in a position to do something, without a commitment, is a bit different that actually doing it. He knows that LAS is currently not very profitable, or he would have pounced on additional flights the day US pulled the plug on theirs. I'm in position to be a millionaire, but I'm sort a few bucks... :blink:
