What a feel good regulation to impose. It really takes the stink off of outsourcing to foreign repair stations.

I agree. The issue is getting people to be concerned about the issue for more than their nightly 2 minute news clip. Americans are reactive rather than proactive and unfortunately it's going to take a major disaster for them to wake up. Our society today doesn't care about anything past how much does something directly cost or affect THEM.

Not much different to our own co-workers as well.

 
 
Please spare us your BS on the state of the industry as far as aircraft maintenance goes.  The TWU has done pretty much squat - in regard to protecting AMTs in my 28 years at AA.  The evidence of the TWU screwing the AMTs at AA is well documented over the years, and will not be forgotten so easy.  Brownmech, despite his spelling and puctuation shortcomings - raises a valid concern,  I hear from fellow AMTs from all three shifts, and all pretty much have the same feelings about the TWU, and that would be - we have been deceived by them. 
 
The TWU is a organization the collects dues primarily for the TWU International's benefit under the guise of protecting the dues paying members.
