Maybe we can post questions for the roadshow committee for those who may not be able to make it to a meeting.
Or maybe follow-ups or clarifications if There are any misunderstandings after a meeting.

Good idea. All for it. The more information we can deliver to the members, the smoother this thing will go.

Question #1 - Do we get the same Aribitrator that the dispatchers used?

Question #2 - Does our 4 year bump carry over if/when we acquire another airline? I personally believe this to be an insane question because if it did then every Union would just vote to give themselves million year bumps forever but the question keeps coming up so lets make the lawyer answer it.

Question #3 - Will the new Union member Tech foremans/workers whatever they will be called have the right to be assigned regular planes to be worked on? Say a Techworkers is assigned an MV1 with a lite avionics issue could he then be given lets say two more basic MV1's or and MV2 as extra work. I see this killing our OT even more.

Question #4 - What is your opinion of this?

Are you refering to the technical support mechanics called TSM in LOA 8?

SWA phx-- I can almost assure you that we will not get the same arbatrator!

Question #4 - What is your opinion of this?

1: NO
2: Yes bump is permanent , NEW SENIORITY LIST.
3: The tech foremans will do the same thing our tech suupport does uner our CBA... really?
4: Its your opinion that matters right?

2: Yes bump is permanent , NEW SENIORITY LIST.

"Permanent" is a very long time.

As I said before, it depends on how the bump actually works and in the case of a future merger how the lists are combined. Will WN people get a new DOH 4 years earlier than their actual DOH? If not and a future merger used DOH, the bump would disappear relative to the next merger partner's people. Another example if WN people do get a new DOH but in a future merger the other airline's people got a 4 year bump - that negates this bump relative to the next merger carriers people.

I have no idea how the bump actually works for this merger - new DOH for WN people, keep true DOH but put list together as though WN peoples' DOH were 4 years earlier, etc. - but all that can be really said about the effect on any future merger is that the WN people would be higher up the WN/FL list than without the bump (assuming you're correct that the bump would affect placement on the WN/FL list). How that affects where they would be on a future merger list depends on a number of variables that I don't know but some of which you may know.

About all that can be said about a future merger is that it almost certainly wouldn't change the order of the WN/FL list. A WN employee above a FL employee on the combined WN/FL list would almost certainly still be above that same FL employee on a new merger list. But that guarantees nothing about how that WN employee would be ranked relative to an employee from the other carrier in another merger.

Per AMFA legal at road show, new list will be formed and will be used from SLI forward. Just posting what was said per SLI committee and legal.

It will be "the list" A= SWA mechs seniority, B=AT mechs seniority list, A+= new seniority list.

Curious to see how they fit another line of MX in Dallas. Is the company planning on keeping all it's current lines and adding a 4th, or will we have to sacrifice C-check to get it?
