SAINT JOHN — A group of companies bidding to build new helicopters for the Canadian Navy has signed up three more New Brunswick companies to be part of the deal.
The Maritime Helicopter Team wants local companies to be part of an industrial and regional benefits program that could mean millions for New Brunswick companies.
Sikorsky Aircraft – the company that built the Sea King helicopter – has teamed up with General Dynamics Canada and Bombardier Aerospace to bid on replacing the Sea Kings with a fleet of H-92 Superhawks designed by Sikorsky.
