Iran is not in the Middle East Iran is in Central Eurasia; Also, Iranians are not Ayrabs, they are Persians.
Please! There is a big difference between Egypt and Palestine. Egypt lost a bunch of territory during the 1967 war. It was a matter of national pride to get it back. I doubt if the Zionists had taken over Egypt and created their Zionist state there, that Sadat would have went along with the Camp David Accord. Israel was promissed more U.S. military and economic aid to go to the "peace table."
People consider Iran as part of the ME. People consider Iranians as Arab. Get over your self. Regardless of why Egypt did what they did, they came to the table and they signed a peace deal with Israel. Israel has and will get what ever they need from the US. They are the only reliable ally we have in the area. Back then, Israel was our only reliable way to test weapon system in live fire situations. The US got a lot of feed back on how to improve the weapon systems from Israel.
What if pigs flew. Israel did not go to Cairo, they stopped at the Suez. They played the game perfectly.
If the Palestinians want their own country, they should follow Egypt's lead. Stop the fighting and come to the table. I also have to ask why no other country in the ME has volunteered to take in these poor souls? Seems to me there is more propaganda value for the ME to have them homeless than safe. BTW, is all of Palestine under Israeli control? I could have sworn some of the land was under Jordanian, Syrian control. Why is no one knocking on their door?
