What's new

SA 1 or SA 3 or SA 4?

SA1 can only be done on the hub or with the ETC....agents cannot change boarding status to SA1....however we can rearrange the list ....ex..put a SA308 above a SA398....its a QIK thing...another good thing about SABRE it arranged the list and that was it....

I had a SA1 08 on a flt to PHX and a party of 4 SA188 I adv her she had 4 above her and it didnt look good..she said even with SA1 1 is said yes they are 88..she said should I call the ETC? I said knock yourself out it doesnt change anything...as it turned out I had some seats open and when I went to clear the list there she was above the 88's....I asked her what she had done because it wasnt gonna fly on my flt...she denied everything but didnt get on anyway....no one is gonna mess with my flt!!!!!

....no one is gonna mess with my flt!!!!!

Thank you!! I don't mind missing a flt when everyone plays by the rules! (I personally don't like the SA4 for retirees, but it is what it is.) I just expect the rules to be followed and I appreciate it. Some people have integrity and some just don't.

I have several Gate agent friends who are nothing but not trustworthy and honorable people.

They, like myself, want this childish idiotic 'us against them' crap to STOP. So STOP already.

If we're seriously going to pick up the magnifying glasses I'm sure we'll find enough dirt on both sides of the fence with a few bad apples to even things out quite nicely.

So let's stop this already. It serves no purpose at all.

We were non-reving to PHX on an SA1, the flight was full, we got the last two seats. Before boarding there was a Capt with his young son all nervous and jerky about getting on, he was on the phone with some one saying there were two people listed on SA1 with higher seniority and that he really needed to get on. We boarded, put our seatbelts on and here comes the gate agent, sorry but you must get off..OK, no problem, until the capt comes waltzing down w/ his son cracking a poop eating grin...Someone took care of him I'm sure..

LD3, I've heard you can file a irregularity report and turn it into corporate if you ever believe there is some fudging of the nonrev boarding. I keep a couple with me whenever I travel.

Nice try at a smear campaign, though.
Okay, I acknowledge your apparently very thin skin. Sorry facts make you angry.

However, the west has been doing this for quite a while. I have seen it myself, pre-merger announcement. I don't know if this function has since been hidden or not but an incident occurred with two junior SA3s "upgraded" to SA1 last minute, after the two SA3s checked in, after six volunteers got paid to give up their seats. Even an SA4 was boarded, yet, two very senior crew members were expected to take the JS.

What is sad is that most would likely give up their cabin seat to get more non-revs on board.

This company encourages behavior that leads to back-room deals, short-circuiting a process where the employees can find mutual respect for each other. It is nothing more than the FUD school of management.

Hanky panky with non-revving has been going on for ages, TPA was one of the worst stations right after the PI/US Merger, you had to keep a real close eye on the list, I was working in TPA in MTC and I knew I was senior to several agents and they got on and I was left at the gate when they were ready to close the door.

I went up to the podium and told the Agent to please call the Station Manager, and he was like why? I told him that three agents and one mechanic you put on the CLT were junior to me and I was going to inform the Manager of how the gate agents played favorites, next thing I know I had a first class boarding pass and seat on the MD80 to CLT.

One. You, your wife, kids, and parents, can all travel on ONE SA1 pass.

I know that piedmont employees have a way that they can see the standby list and priority and even when seats are assigned I have seen this website used ago but its only for piedmont employees

When you use your sa1, whoever you list at the time when you list go as sa1 including guest passes.

If you are using a SA1P and listing guest pass travelers with you, they cannot fly SA1. The highest boarding that they can be adjusted to is SA3P
