It's possible! Both AA and Republic/Frontier are on shaky ground. When a CEO (DP) makes a public statement (Crew News) that they have no interest in a merger with Republic that told me they were talking at least over a beer about how things might work in the future. Fuel drops a little more and I don't see anyone going into BK and the merger speculation dies.
 
They don't still have the A318 do they? I know that a few of them have already been scrapped, after only a few years of service.

I thought they dumped them in BK. How many in the fleet I wonder?

And just for giggles does US have the financial resources to aquire both AA and F9 if they were to end up in BK? THAT would be one interesting deal a three way between US/F9/AA made into one.

Now we can get the thread hijacked properly by the pilots debating, er insulting one another over seniority.
