Rumor has it that a Northwest B-757 has been slated to come to AFW for a triple gear change. If this is true, then the TWU has really confirmed itself as the SCAB union. I will refuse to work on any Northwest aircraft, even if it's a lease return!

Ummmm.................hasn't the TWU already taken a position on working on NWA aircraft?

The twu is working on NWA ground equipment in Austin.

SCAB LEADERS(Orlando crossed the AA F/A's picket line)
SCAB FAIR(MCI NWA job fair)
SCAB WORKERS(AUS and maybe AFW)

Do you know when this is supposed to occur? I checked the 757 routings, and don't see anything coming your way (it only goes a few days out, though....).

Princess------ What makes you think aa personel would do the work? aa has only said "It would not work any struck airline!" What if the Scabs came with the Aircraft? Then technically aa wouldn't be doing the work!!! But something is going on! I heard a rummor today that NW would bring in a DC-9 engine change here at MCI! Scabs doing the work! NW wants to lease two of our empty narrow body docks to just do that! Engine changes!!!So where's our Union leaders on all this?? They have been told, but only say that they can't tell aa how to run it's business! Sound like anything you've heard before?????? It's a whole new world out there people!

There is a LAB aircraft in bay 3 here in MIA
There are about 20 Boeing Mechs working on the Aircraft. Rumor has it that Boeing Mechs are on strike. Asked one of the mechs if they were scabs they told us they were engineers not union employees. So who do you believe. And if AA wants to rent the bay out and let scabs work on airplanes who is going to stop them.

Not the twu

Who gives a Sh!t? It more revenue for the company. It more proof that AA can compete with 3rd party maintenance vendors. You guys #### about your salaries, but then you #### about AA bringing in new sources of revenue.

Here is a hint, the more revenue maintenance brings in, the stonger your bargaining position becomes. That is much more likely to get you your pay back than changing your damn union.

Keep your revenue if it includes scabbing or allows scabs in our buildings.

Wasn't NW preparing to reject the leases on 30 of their 757's?

Not sure of the situation here but many times with lease returns, we would have gear changes, engine changes and other work before we could return the aircraft. Being that NWA is in BK, I don't know if that still applies.

AA has several ex-NEW EASTERN scabs  working at AFW. I have no doubts that these low life individuals will scab again  . It's in their nature to do so.
