record profits and our benefits go up?

and I am sorry, Kevin, but unions don't negotiate which plans a company will buy. They simply don't.

They may negotiate the terms for the cost of coverage but they simply don't dictate the suppliers a company uses.

good for your better half. there are plenty of industries that offer benefits of one sort or another that are better than what is in the airline industry.

Despite all of the hoopla about the TA, no one bothered to post the increased costs that AA employees - including FAs are likely going to be subject to even while people make statements that the cost of increased health care coverage for DL employees is larger than the cost of the pay raise.

Unless you are talking about a part-time employee, that is simply not accurate.

further, it has been noted by multiple AA employees - not me - that AA's benefit costs are taking a larger percentage of their pay increase than what has been posted for DL employees.

and LD3 is absolutely right... no one Republican or Democrat has figured out how to reduce the spiraling increases in health care costs.

until they do, Americans spend more on health care than does any other country and we do not have the levels of health that should come with those expenditures.

During Clinton years we had healthcare premium holidays where we paid nothing that month.
Then starting 2001 they where out of control.healthcare at AA has not been good for 20 years.
They went to the Walmart plan for pay and benefits

Who said they did?

But while we're here, tell us more about which plan DL just decided to unilaterally eliminate. Which one was it? What drove that decision? How much input from affected workers was solicited?

They may negotiate the terms for the cost of coverage...
A service most DL employees don't have available to them.

how about instead of arguing "we have no control over our lives and they do" you put together a table showing what each carrier is paying for comparable health coverage?

that is really the only thing at this point that matters and would do wonders to make the point one way or another about who is coming up short on the stick

Didja miss the part where I asked what AA'ers were paying for each policy offered, and what the main components of each are?

Given that you responded directly to it (albeit with a non-answer), one would hope you didn't...

yeah, I saw it. when they answer, perhaps you can pull the data all side by side so you can help make the point about who is really getting the better or worse deal.

thanks in advance bro

WT, you are a truly awful person. You're a zealot who completely disregards how a decent person behaves in this forum, and don't care that everyone finds your methods and demeanor repulsive. You're basically a forum terrorist, and it became intolerable some time ago

of course anyone that points out something you don't want to hear is a terrorist.

grow up, big boy

the world is not always full of people who think just like you.

meanwhile, AA's benefit costs are going up and no one quite quantify the impact.

When someone gets that answer, we probably could all benefit.

Yeah, it is much nicer with him on ignore.
Take him for what he's worth- he comes on here spouting all his bs, meanwhile he's mooching 2500/month off of religious organizations to live in Brazil. Like I said, much easier with him on ignore.

Nah, be nice. What he does for a living doesn't make a difference on his opinions, and it probably irritates Bears and Tree enough to make it worthwhile for all of humanity, so I'm behind him on that.

But, I think we all enjoy the break from the endless pontificating and puffery.

I wasn't being mean, I just think he's a fake.
