And the stock had a buildup the last few days, was up to almost $48 in Pre market trading today. And now is down to $44 and change?

The market must hate Parker or something. This happens every time he opens his mouth on earnings calls.
The Stock Market is in theory a "forward looking" institution.  It did not like some of the metrics in the earnings report.  The Market is saying that AAL is not as attractive in 6 to 12 months.

Took a little longer than usual to post the expected back-handed compliment, but certainly did not disappoint.

No profit sharing because it has nothing to do with the everyday operation of the employees. Then he says this.

"We are extremely pleased to report another quarter of record profits thanks to the outstanding work of the American Airlines team," said Chairman and CEO Doug Parker. "We are particularly proud of the remarkable job our team did this week to move American onto a single reservations system without any operational disruption. Because of their great work, our customers now have seamless access to the full network of the new American Airlines – the best and largest airline network in the world."

No kidding. Talk is cheap, and profit sharing is expensive when profits are huge.

1AA, apparently we are not a part of the "team". Treated more like water boys or the towel guy!

When/where did Parker actually say that. I'm not denying that he did, but if indeed he did say that, a "real" union would instruct it's members to prove Doug was right and show exactly how much we don't play a role.

We'll, don't forget, as DP says, “It’s just not the right way to pay 100,000 employees that don’t have that much impact on the daily profits.”
but us employees are getting profit shareing this year. Jim little sold us down the river

It's probably why they fired him.  OK dudes don't cut it in this business as I've seen plenty of  them come and go.  If we as workers think they're OK they've already got a strike against them.

Precisely, the "team" is all management people.  Saw the same attitude and practice at Texaco for years.  Successful installation of a new computer application resulted in bonusses and promotions all around for managers.  Nothing more than an attaboy for the programmers, designers, and testers who actually designed, built, tested and installed the app.

Congrats to all the AA employees.

Dear AA aircraft maintenance. 18% operating margins, please don't set the industry back with more concessions.
Signed the rest of the industry.

Hey, we worked for those concessions.  We even  voluntarily teAAmed up with another concessionary airline just to show how proud we are of our accomplishments.
