and the retro covered what kind of time frame?

again, unions did not succeed in getting retro back to when the cuts in BK took place - so, AA did indeed enjoy a significant period of time at reduced pay rates - and so has every other airline.

the time frame and value of the retro pay that has been granted is negligible....

if you'd like to argue differently, let me know the value of a contract that contained it relative to the total value of the contract.

only if they were on paper first.

if they are on paper (or electronic documents) then they should be obvious.

someone.... where did any amount of retro pay in the airline industry amount to a significant part of the cost of a contract (percent please) and what percentage of the pay cuts did it erase in the period before it?

We will do that when you can tell us the value of the DL fa's contract??? With facts!! Your silence speaks volumes!!!

There'd be more silence if people just ignored him.

Anyone who can't tell the difference between snapbacks and retro pay isn't worth listening to in the first place.

Not really sure what DL FAs earn or what they get in other compensation, I do know that we got an extra bump in our payrate because of Anderson (Thank You Sir may I have another! LOL) I am told we are at the top of the industry now with the new contract? at least with the hourly rates. I do know that (because i'm over 50) that AA puts 9.9% of my pay into my 401K (this is from AA, not deducted from my pay).  this is in addition to what I contribute. (I look at it as a 9.9% bonus every month without the taxes) Does DL do that? I hope they do but again not sure. AA FAs received equity shares last year which are worth approx. 20K now. I sold mine last year so I don't have that now, but the employees who haven't sold them are smiling all the way to the bank! Did DL FAs get equity shares? Maybe they did? I don't really know. Do Deltas FAs do better with PS? If they are happy with that, good for them. Anderson gave them a raise and he can take it back any time.(I know he probably wont but...just saying) Is PS taxed as a bonus? I hope not but if it is, that's close to 50%. There must be a reason so many DL FAs signed union cards. I  like knowing the APFA is there and our pay and comp is locked in with a contract.

AFAIK, they do not. I know they don't for ACS & cargo employees...

Amen.

Is PS taxed as a bonus?
Yes.

no. PS is WITHHELD by the IRS at bonus rates.

It is TAXED at the same rate as your normal earnings during the year.

and yes DL FAs and all employees got equity coming out of BK - just like AA.

and DL also had a higher rate of 401K contributions for "middle age" and above workers. I'm not sure how it works now but DL most certainly had a different contribution rates based on employee age post BK.
