Get real. They took a paycut and then changed their title to justify a raise. Sort of like a department store raising prices just before a big sale. You guys up in Crystal LA LA LAND must think we are stupid

Wait a minute. I am not a U employee. But, if things are so great at CCY for mid-management and staff, why are their so many vacancies AND so many in this job market?

I was only kidding about a strike. I would rather band all unions together and plan out a barrage of all things this group of thieves and robbers thru the media or something.. Absolutely no more give backs! I cant afford it as I am already below the 11.00 an hr rate and on top of that have to pay an attorney for a child custody battle. as for the salesguyinccy: I have yet to see this airline make money with a real management team, something like what CO has not US!

Why do people keep saying management has to give back more? Management, like everyone else has already. Get your facts straight!
I'd like to see management deliver their part of the bargain. Why don't we focus on increasing revenue? I'm sure if we made our product more attractive, like with some rationalized fares, we'd see more business travelers. If our core flying is short-haul, give them more reasons to choose US Airways!

It seems we're more focused on the fickle leisure travelers. Of course I want them to fly with us, but the business people have been our bread and butter. We've cheapened our product to the point they are looking for other alternatives for their travel needs.

I've heard more FF's complaining about the up-coming reduction of FC seats on the 757. I'm worried they will avoid flying on us if they feel the chance for an upgrade is greatly reduced.

SalesguyCCY,

I believe that I said SENIOR management is who needs to pony up and give some back. So, in that respect I do have my facts straight. I don't believe, and someone please correct me if I'm wrong, I've ever heard of Mr Siegel, Mr Baldanza, or Mr Glass, etc, of even suggesting that they take a paycut to help our bottom line. These fine gentlemen are still recieving their astronomical salaries while the rest of us suffer the brunt of the cost-cutting. My remarks were not aimed at anyone other than SENIOR management! I will go out on a limb here and say that I have nothing but respect for our FRONT LINE mgmt, because I know that they have to put up with the same baloney as us non-mgmt folks.

On a totally different topic, seeing as you are throwing stones at me and I'd like to throw one back at you, are you the sales dept genius that continues to sell our B-1900 aircraft here in FL to 19 seats or even oversell them? Because maybe you should take a little W and B training for the B-1900, Did you folks in sales know that when you put 19 passengers on a B-1900 on a longer than average leg, such as TPA-PNS or TPA-VPS/PFN, you cannot take the passengers baggage due to W and B. I know that mgmt's answer is to ask for volunteers, but more times than not, no one wants to give up their seat. This forces us to expedite their baggage thruogh CLT to PNS or even worse to ATL for a connection to VPS/PFN on Delta! This is ludicrous! Yesterday I had expedite a CP's baggage tp PNS through CLT. Do you know how pissed this guy probably was when he got to PNS and his bags didn't? When I was writing the expedite tag for this guys bags, all I could do was cringe! Is there anything we can do to correct this at the sales level? Can't we cap these flights at maybe 16, and oversell to 18? It always seems to be the last passenger's weight that makes or breaks the load on these flights.

NO MORE GIVING!!! Let the highly overcompensated management do its job. Other the cutting employee compensation and workrule changes, can you name anything this management has done to change this airline so that it can compete? Express is not the answer! The yield on those airplanes is quite low, and the load factor is very very low. It is nothing more than a union busting tactic. I say stand strong....and if he threatens to shut it down, tell him to goa ahead and pull the trigger!!!!!! FEAR IS THE ENEMY

R U FOR REAL??????????

Mgmt HAS NOT BEGUN TO GIVE what the rest of us have!!

They could LIVE OFF THE INTEREST>>COULD YOU???

GIMME A BREAK____If they want more, look in their OWN BACKYARDS!!!

Golden1,
If they look in their yard and do give. and that is a big IF.
Can you think who would get the rewards in the end?
Oh we gave up our bonus checks so we get them now. And with Dave it would be the day before he would file chapter 7.
Just Wolf and Gangwald
Management wont give a penny. We have gone from feeding our family to food stamps while Dave build his house on the islands. This I feel is a blatant slap in our faces. Not another DAMN penny.

hey guy...your fraternity has gutted the loyal people who are on the front lines everyday extending the US AIRWAYS corporate image of kindness and concern for our flying public.cost control may or may have not been warranted,i am not attempting to argue that point .
the facts that your fraternity has to get straight that is becoming quite apparent to all involved, both employee and customer oriented is that unfortunately, you guys don't seem to have a clue as to how to effectively operate a major airline.we see on a quarterly basis our competitors making profits as we still whine about "further cost reductions will be required"...this is cool,dude....but how much fat does one trim before ones cutting into the steak? we keep retreating from the 'big boyz' in many, many markets....i'm no econ expert, but someone once told me you have to spend money to make money.....he doesn't own an airline BTW.
and wheres our saving grace from the manna from heaven in the form of "RJ'S"?
take a good airline and downsize into profitability-don't work in these here times MR.SALESGUYCCY. i beleive we must be operating from the old "seth schofield book of airline operations"-[how to make money by reducing your capital resources]-didn't work then, won't work now.
its quite obvious, your plan of attack is seriously flawed.it also shows how inept and inexperienced you are in airline ops,my friend....seth tried and it didn't work...then why should it work for you?
so i ask in all sincerity, what the **** you got planned next?

Guys, EVERYONE in management took at paycut. In fact, the more you made, the higher the percentage of your paycut, starting with Dave at 20%. The fact is, whenever labor is asked to give more, SENIOR management takes money from the management ranks too.

And yes, I've not only met my sales goals, I've exceeded them year after year!

Salesguyccy.........Get real....20 % off milions is not bad.

Do you get heating help ?

Food Stamps ?

Or any goverment help to survive LIFE.

Well we at the NOW express stations do and i am sure the
band of thieves in CCY DON'T.

If you make your goals great but when they throw tthe money down the drain

SALESGUY: YOU MUST BE ONE OF THE HIGH LEVEL GANGSTERS THAT BELONG OUT ON THE STREETS JUST LIKE THE REST OF US EMPLOYEES, ESPECIALLY IN THE
EXPRESS STATIONS. 20% IS JUST CHICKEN CRAP COMPARED TO A FREAKING 13.00 AN HR JOB WITH THE LITTLE 50 SEAT JUNKERS AND THE 37 SEAT DASH-8S.
SO WAKE UP AND SMELL THE COFFEE! YOUR SALES PROBABLY ACCOUNTED THE MONEY THAT YOU CCY GANGSTERS STOLE FROM US EMPLOYEES!
