I won't pay for something used as a marketing tool. I have had some luck with people in marketing sending them to me though.Anyone know where I can get some plastic US Airways wings? Thanks in advance B)

Why not some playing cards or matchbooks while you're at it? (Yes, that was mean, but I couldn'r resist)
I understand the concept of not wanting to pay for marketing, but I look at it this way. I recently gave a pair to a youngster with his mother as they were deplaning, and it made my day. I remember being the little tike once upon a time. Despite everything going on a round here, there are certain things no one can take a way from me. I still feel fortunate despite it all, it's my way of giving back a little. The company has nothing whatsoever to do with the way I look at this.
We use to do a lot of stuff for free until we were PeoplExpressI am both blessed and fortunate to have this job. I show up for work each day, and wear my uniform proudly. We used to hand out both wings and coloring kits FREELY. It should be that way again....IMHO.
I too love that warm, fuzzy feeling. The company CAN afford to GIVE us the wings, because produced in number cost about .05 to .10 each. Charging us .55 each is ridiculous (IMHO). The corporate leaders continue to reward themselves for stellar work, and then ask those of us (who have not had a raise or new contract for years) to pay for these marketing tools is also ridiculous.

Don't worry CB., this managment team is losing the customer, one step at a time and stricktly going by price.
Jet Blue will have all the Gen Y in the bag and locked up flying them for a lifetime..
You know TV's and games on board and all
this mgmt is too busy video taping you in the crew room
Kept selling those choice seatsLOL! Losing the customer because of tv and games? Are you kidding? And us should BUY you wings so you can give them out? And this is what you choose to be upset about?
I am not sure why you have trouble with the sale of choice seats. These seats are admittedly no different than the seats five rows back...no extra leg room, no free drink etc. However, they ARE closer to the front and kept out of the non-preferred AND the preferred inventory so the average passenger has a chance at a good seat (ie aisle when only middles are left) and can be further upfront if they CHOOSE (thus "choice" ) to. I don't see the difference between those and more expensive seats at say, a concert, in a more "choice" section.Kept selling those choice seats
And definitely no flexibility on fees
And NO inventory OB
