SKYTALK: AA Pilots slam airline in billboard

Why? All they did was state a fact then start a bulletin board for anyone to write about there story. Nothing different than an I hate AA thread on here or Flyertalk. Except that their site has a billboard advertising about it in DFW.

Still stupid! Why advertise that you hate AA? It is plain dumb. You work for them. Have you no pride? Do you not want the airline to be successful? Why drive customers away? What are you doing to help fix the problem? Or do you just want to whine? It sounds like whining like a two year old is the best APA can do.

Nice to see more unappreciative jerks at work. They should be ashamed of themselves. Disgusting, but it's also why most of my domestic flying has switched to Virgin America (given that they fly just about every route I frequent).

This from the guy who hates AA and thinks TWA could do no wrong. Go shovel your "stuff" somewhere else.

Keep it up.

AA will meet the contractual demands and more soon. That goes for APA, APFA, and TWU.
Just bring in your demands and Arpey will sign next week or next month.

Of course the $5 Billion in cash will be gone in less than 4 months and after a BK filing you will lose your incredible pension to the PGBC and when you stop to count up who won, dissappointment will fill your bubble.

Why would you think Bill hates AA? Just because we might voice an opinion doesn't mean there is hate or malice in our words. Yes, we loved TWA but as good as it was we are ALL aware of the shortcomings. I just wonder who is advising the pilots in this campaign. You don't run down maintenance, the service providers, and the safety record of your company. Bonus payments are fair game due to the state of the operation as a whole and the current stock price. There have been some pretty huge pr mistakes from employees as of late.

Extremely counterproductive, in my opinion.

Grow up and get serious about negotiating a new contract instead of mud-slinging for no purpose other than to embarrass management.

First of all, that website looks like a 9 year old put it together in GeoCities or FrontPage. It's a despicable effort for union to try to run a public relations campaign through. Secondly, blaming the massive thunderstorms or the FAA's kneejerk CYA grounding of the MD-80 fleet on management/maintenance is just stupid.

I know many of the hubs are stretched really thin on staffing. When things go badly, it makes for a bad experience for the passengers (hell I'm only a Platinum so what do I know about flying in bad weather) and for the employees. But no amount of staffing will get rid of nasty winter storms or the infamous DFW supercells that will shut down the airport, just like no amount of staffing will keep the blizzards from Chicago, or the overcrowding from LAX.

If you think American's management is completely inept; have you managed to take a look at the rest of the industry? UA/NW/DL all just came out of bankruptcy where those employees saw their contracts shredded, their retirements junked and their healthcare disappear. AA/CO/SW employees and passengers should thank their lucky stars everyday they haven't had to go through the bankruptcy court.

I'm not saying that American employees haven't made significant sacrifices to ensure the airline's success; you have and should be rewarded for them. I'm not saying that AMR's management hasn't made some head scratching decisions, but the airline is afloat and somewhat profitable. The employees still have contracts that weren't written by creditors, and your pensions and benefits. What I am asking is that you are careful enough with your demands in the final contract not to "choke the golden goose."

Actually Bill likes AA, thinks well of its operation and has never said TWA could do no wrong.
Your ignorance of my position and total misquote suggests you are just shoveling stuff. My disgust was aimed at APA, not AA as is clearly evident in my post. It appears you cannot even read posts accurately.

As expected, all the running dog lackeys are out defending their capitalist master. As if the capitalist is going to do anything for you, except throw you out with the trash once you are used up.

Well we see all the management fans out here blasting the APA campaign. "Stupid", suicidal etc etc. Well actually its a very good move to pressure management. By revealing the bungling of management and the resulting "bad press" it puts pressure on management, the owners are more likely to replace them if they feel this stuff threatens their intrests. "You hold a gun to our heads we hold one to yours". "You make threats to our job, we threaten yours." For the owners of AA its very easy to clean up the companies image, fire those in control and give awy a few more cheap seats. However management will be the ones looking for a job with a very public failure on their resumes.
