PIEDMONT (Merged Threads)

who said i was an F/A and I never worked for them however I do know a few folks who used to work for PI and they were treated very nicely I dont know what ytour issue is here but im only saying the few time i flew on them i always had a wonderful time and they were truly a great airline in my opinion

I'd take those "300 year old" planes any day over the new shiney worthless lawn dart express junk. (DASH 8 not included). Besides, in the "OLD" days you could get a coke beween CLT and ILM.

The original Piedmont Airlines was a successful, classy, and well run operation that was well liked by it's employee's and by it's customers just like the original PSA.

Thanks for your note above. You couldn't be more correct. In fairness, there were a few other carriers besides PI and PS that were really exceptionally successful and beloved by pax and employees alike. It's often forgotten these days that for decades DL was just like PI and PS. A much wider network, but very well run and tremendously successful. A lot of the old North Central and Ozark folks I'm sure would argue that their carriers were also regional successes.

Regardless, I will forever be grateful for having had the opportunity to work for PI back in the last chapter of "the good old days." It was a very special company that made exceptional efforts to serve its passengers, its stockholders, its workers and its communities very well. On that front, you'd be hard pressed to argue they didn't succeed wildly.

Oh, no, please, the credit for the laughter belongs to SKY HIGH. I am but a mere observer.

Well, it's Friday, and I could have used a little pick me up, EWR was a mess (as usual) and IAH was late, but it seems that both you and SKY HIGH must be flying the friendly skies... Well have nice trips, and I'll have a couple (no, more like four or five) scorpion bowls in your honor...
