I flew, as "B" once, (odd ah), and we picked up an extra in CLT, as soon as she came onboard she said to me, "I don't know how you guys work at Usairways but in Piedmont we work this way", I didn't say anything but, I was thinking what in hell "piedmont means", Sorry guys I am too junior, and I was born in 1975 anyway, after our service I talk to the "A", and ask her what Piedmont meant, she asked me why I, was asking her that, and I, told her what the extra f/a told me in the back, and the "A" said to me, dont worry about it honey, piedmont means OLD, later on she explain me what that was and I felt sorry for the extra f/a she is still living in the past, PLEASE GET OVER IT, A LOT OF US ARE TOOO JUNIOR AND TOO YOUNG TO KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THOSE 300 YEAR OLD AIRLINES,........... OH AND SAY NO TO ETB TRIPS FOR DECEMBER....THX

You should’ve been around when we served a hot breakfast on those PIT-ITH-ELM turns. The catering truck could never find Gate 32R, so we carried the stacks of Aladdin trays across the ramp in the snow ourselves!

Oh, how I miss 32R.

I remember being served soup on my flight to PIT for my interview with US. I thought to myself "how the hell am I going to eat this in turbulence and not get it all over me?" I skipped it. But it sure looked good. Some sort of corn chowder. And, yes, it was on an Aladdin tray! And I was sitting backwards at one of those wonderful row one table seats on the D93.

Soup on my tie would certainly beat that awful BOB breakfast sandwich. Who the heck eats lunch meat with cinnamon? Maybe Moroccans? But this ain't Royal Air Moroc, last time I checked. Maybe it's a desert thing?

I just flew with a lady who said Piedmont was horrible and it was so much better when they merged with USAir. It's a matter of opinion mostly, but the best way to give an airline a great reputation? Make it go away... then all of the employees will says "Oh it was so great, oh the people, oh the service" even though they talked smack about the place while it was around. We are seeing it now with HP snd old US, and once we merge with someone else it will be "Oh, US Airways, now that was an airline, blah blah blah". Always been that way in this industry.

sky high states: Sooooo, you're 32. You're NOT too young to know anything about past airlines, you're TOO IGNORANT.

Piedmont was a wonderful airline and has a long history, there's plenty of websites to explore and LEARN FROM. GOOGLE it.

What's too JUNIOR (in this airline) and young is your attitude! Some of my best conservations on the jumpseat has been with ex-Braniff, Eastern, PanAm, TWA, or now defunct airlines. Tales from the past are enriching, it's too bad your too busy being bitter.....Oh, yeahhhh, NO ETB.

only stating opinions

i was a kid when i flew on the Piedmont F-28s both the 1000 and the 4000 as well as the F-100 from BWI to ORF during the summer in the 1980s and i must say just prior to landing in BWI we were served a nice hot rolls or biscuits cant remember but what a true wonderful airline PI really was

Goggle it.

Some of my best conservations on the jumpseat

Come on everybody, Goggle it! Put on some Goggles and look!

Bother way, did you know our shouty-face friend was a conservationist? He's conserving wildlife on the jumpseat, no wonder we're flying with such a variety of livestock!

.....

Oh, no, please, the credit for the laughter belongs to SKY HIGH. I am but a mere observer.

Get over it, I do believe they merge with Usair in 1989, I was only 14 that is a real kids age, on the other hand, if you talk to me about standards, like having good looking flight attendants, and well groom guys, i will understand certain stuff about working for PIEDMONT but look at the piedmont flight attendants, now............no more to tell
