Piedmont A/C in CLT

While back on the paint line changing the blue, it sure would be great if they make the "US Airways" on the fuselage in the correct shade of red as well. Please Doug, if you are going to do it - really do it right!
THAT WOULD BE AWESOME!!!

Then who would you blame for the planes being wrong?

Someone at the Sandcastle is in charge of the program.

So many koolade drinkers on this board.
Why do you have to immediately "blame" anybody!
Misteaks (sic) happen.
The good thing is that they (DP and gang) are doing the heritage retro thing in the first place. All that AL cared about was destroying PSA and Piedmont and wiping away any evidence of their existence. I think this is great and appreciate the effort. The aircraft are being corrected and will be ready for the dedication. Should they have been done correctly the first time? Absolutely, but they weren't, get over it. It isn't as if any harm was done. Lighten up and enjoy the prosperity for a while, we all know things can turn around tomorrow for the worse.
If you are so miserable working at US Airways you should leave. You will be happier (although I doubt that could happen anywhere).

Three mistakes that will cost thousands if not a hundred thousand to fix.

If you landed the the wrong airport three times what would happen to you?

Do you want management running this airline that cant even get a plane painted right?

You need to read this post to understand it better:

700, i reluctantly agreed with you on them getting it wrong. but you really need to lighten up . we are very lucky that they are even doing this at all. the good thing is that the company is acknowledging their mistake and are correcting it . really 700, do you hate usairways? because it really sounds like you do. i am just asking this because i just don't understand why you have to be so negative all the time .i mean, all the time. i know you can say what you want and there is an ignore feature on this web board but man you really ,really need to lighten up about small things.

Small things? Is $100,000 small things to you?

It shows the lack of management in the airline.

One plane I can see, two planes then three, no excuse for it.

Someone needs to be held accountable for this fiasco.

Should $100,000 be spent to repaint these aircraft?? (no clue on what the actual cost is

 i think that the fact tht the heritage planes are being done at all is a nice gesture. all they had to do with the awa plane was to remove america west titles and slap on usairways titles..so that was easy!!!. i do have one complant though.....is'nt it kind of a waste of money to put the heritage logo on planes that are still blue when they are going to get repainted and need another heritage logo again? seems like a waste of a decal and man hours to do this.

Does anyone have solid proof that US is paying the tab for repaint and not the contractor??????

YOU PEOPLE ARE TOO MUCH!!!!!!!

Ah an ignorant westie.

Did you work for Piedmont?

NOPE.

Only the 737-300(Not all), 737-400 and the 767 all which were new had the identifiers put on the, the older planes in the fleet did not.

So genius, when you when know the correct history, then post, otherwise, take your foot out of your mouth, as it probably tastes like crap.

History????
There is no history there. I'm just pointing out that not all A/C had the identifier on them. So is it necessary that the heritage plane does. You are ripping everybody a new one for not putting it on. MUST IT BE THERE? Also, as far as the color, looking through Airliners.net there are alot of pics showing different colors of blue. I agree that the blue on the heritage is too light, but my god...get over it! It is being fixed! NO FOOT IN MOUTH HERE!!!

No...I can see all of that! But...apparently it is too much for you to understand my question. Just because SOME of the a/c had the identifier, does that mean that the heritage place MUST have it? C'mon 700...!!!
