PHL EXPANSION?

the response of this tread may not be what you would expect especially if its not what you want to hear. we in PHL at US talk to all the arilines. the rumor about stopping service from PHL comes from WN folks. in PHL no one is happy and WN folks talking to them are a nice bunch. they are not stupid for the money they are getting for the grief of working out of PHL its not worth it. WN and US have a big time turn over in employees . you cant pay 9.00 per hour in PHL. what makes me mad is that US in PHL is always in the news of we would be since we do 95 pct of the business but you dont hear about the problems at WNn in PHL.. and they have problems .. and that comes from WN folks.

PLEASE PLEASE operating your PHL-PIT flights which are totally empty... we at US LUV your presence in PHL.. we can now dead head PHL-PIT with you because.. oh we are FULL.. come on we have been doing the PHl for ovr 60 years.. philly cheesesteak.. I will counter that and say this is the DOT stats, not WN. They do not count thru pax as you state, with the proof that they also state passengers whose only choice is to connect. See here from the end of table 1 in the link I posted before:

Albany, NY-Los Angeles, CA 2,467 mi 218 pax / market leader: WN 19.20% @ $222

WN doesn't fly nonstop ALB-LAX, so it is a given that this report only counts people's origin and destination as their route. If you have something that contradicts this, please post it.

Of course, WN reports in their monthly traffic enplanements as total passengers, just like every other airline in the United States does. But for the DOT survey, the only passengers they report on a route are those who are not thru pax, but rather O&D only with that city-pair.
 
It appears that Philadelphia does not teach grammar or punctuation in its public schools.

market leader phlpvd if im on crack then you must be on SUPER crack. Wn fudges the numbers in boarding and espcially always on ontime you didnt have ACARS so you made them up.. you are no longer the ONTIME LEADER. But we in PHL just LUV you being here expand please but we will always be the BIG GUYS here no matter what you do. just always remember when your beloved Herb said when he said he was going to PHL while swiggin his jack daniels.. I JUST LOVE PHILLY CHEESE STEAK>> Well US has the steak and always will and the rest of you in PHL can have the cheese bread and anything else you can muster up. and that is a fact.. you ask the DOT who is the BIg time player in PHL.

OK, let's say Southwest fudges their numbers and they only have 48% of the PHL-PVD market. Whatever, it's half.

For an airline relatively new to the airport to have *half* of the market in a legacy carrier's hub is really saying something.

Since WN has gotten ACARS the percentage of flights arriving ontime on a month to month (i.e Feb with ACARS to Feb without) comparison have been within 2% of the flights before ACARS. Some months the ontime percentage was better with ACARS than before.
