Pay to see your own schedule (The America West way of doing business)

Its a bridge agreement, till the JCBA talks start. And you still have to remember US is still the 5th largest airline, its not merged yet.

They're still in section 6. That's not a bridge. They're talking merger. They're not gonna be 5th for long. I guess AS making more as a smaller airline means nothing? Quit with the excuses, and hold them accountable for bringing something good back!

US filed twice the second one was 11/2004, thats only nine years and we have been in negotiations for two years and have asked back in May to be released and the board hasnt answered either way.

"that's only 9 years",

people get less time for murder.

"Only 9 years" at the bottom of the industry and the IAM is "asking" for a deal where they would still be at the bottom.

What is the term of the deal the IAM has on the table? Are they really only asking for $36/hour? Would that even bring them up to what they were making 11 years ago? Are you aware that if your wages were restored to what you were making 11 years ago that would state equate to a 30% reduction in pay in "Real terms"?

Would be funny if it wasn't so sad. And you claim to be a unionist.

You guys sound like a bunch of cry babies . Grow the F up ! " We make more than you " US is the lowest paid " We have to pay to bid " .. Waa , Waa,Waa!! Are you kidding me with this stupid thread ? Jesus ..

Is any of that untrue? Pilots and FAs at USAIR are among the lowest paid and management with the collaboration of the unions on the property have successfully prolonged the concessions, yet you guys keep giving and showing up everday. Judging by how USAIR treats their current employees if this stupid merger ends up going through why would their management team great the combined group any better?

You do pay to bid at home, do you not? What a complete joke, does US ask you to bring in money coffee for a coffee fund too? Meanwhile AA has equipped all FAs with Samsung Note tablets and has had enterprise mobile application on iOS for FAs to use for several years now.

USAIR, while by definition is a network legacy carrier is in the same league as the Allegiants and Spirits of the industry.

Not only should you not have to pay to bid, you should be paid if you have to bid on your time off.

What amazes me is that the AFA either agreed to this nonsense or if they didn't that they haven't filed a grievance with the company yet. That is complete nonsense, akin to asking employees to furnish their own office supplies or work computer.

In Dallas, they try to make us pay for coffee! Cheap A-holes! For the bases I visit, that is the only one that tries to charge us! But in the other hand, it is DALLAS!!! So cheap does go around here still. Until recently, same for the FU. Although the last 2 times I was there, coffee AND snacks were again provided. Amazing.

Listen douche bag . Not that any of this even matters or concerns you but FA's at USAirways are not amongst the lowest paid in the industry . We top out at $47:15 . Same as AA does . Pre merger UA top out less than we do and make less . The only airline that makes substantially more then US FA's is pre merger CO FA 's. DL makes a little more but not by much so get your facts straight you idiotic moron .

[sub]Possible That Josh was unaware of your new contract, AA has taken a pay cut to $47, 2001 they topped out around $68 for international. Is the new contract in effect, id think. Nott bad if the merger doesn't go thru.[/sub]

Yes the new contract is in full effect and trust me , Josh knows full well what our pay rates are . He just loves to hate on USAirways . Complete loser . Would love to meet him in person and give him a piece of my mind but I am sure I would have to stand in line for that ..

You just may have the pleasure of serving me on US 796/797 in the not too distant future.

Amen, I can just see what US Air[cough] America West is going to those tablets... When America West didn't even want to keep the entertainment system that they already had on their own fleet and that of US Airways, you think that they are going to continue providing tablets to their employees?

LOL

Dream on... folks...

If history is an indicator of the future, then this
http://www.aa.com/i18n/urls/samsung-galaxy-note.jsp
will not be in it.

Oh,please don't tell me US wont move forward with tablets or Opads for the cockpit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You top out at $47.15 now, after America West flight attendants were stuck on this http://afa66.org/199...A_Agreement.pdf from 1999 until 2013. And then, the company provided an average contract that involved giving up everything that was good on the measily AWA contract such as VACATION. Most of the people that topped out in the time span given above, didn't want to give up their vacations anymore. Nevertheless, you guys were all tricked into this agreement with the threat of an impending merger and being possibly left out in the cold. Bottom line is, you got a COST NEUTRAL contract. The MONEYS were shifted, that's all. The gain was minimal.

On top of that, most scheduling rules are still going by the old contracts, and I am not sure, if US Airways is obligated to negotiate / implement the rest in a timely manner, considering the NOW-POSSIBLY-DELAYED merger with AA. If anything, US Airwa(cough) America West will drag these separate operations out forever, with AWA F/As only getting half the rewards and needed changes of the new CBA, with the excuse of "we wanted to it faster, but we had other priorities at the time with the AA merger, sorry for the delay and giving you the shaft again." Implementing a new combined scheduling system COSTS money... If AWA execs can save money by keeping things the way they are forever, they will.

Again, to those that dream that somehow Dougie and CO. will no longer be as inconsiderate as he was with AWA employees and then also US Airways employees, wake up and smell the coffee.

AWA execs are NOT going to change just because they are now becoming YOUR boss at AA.
