I cant explain the level of frustration I am feeling right now over the fact that
ONE HALF-ONE HALF of our membership didnt bother to vote in the National Officer elections. I hear 100% bitching and moaning...I hear 100% ideas on how things should be run around here--sometimes at 100% volume eveery day, every leg, every base-but how Fu-ked up is it the 1 in 2 didnt bother to dig up a #2 pencil and cast their votes -on this one of the most imporntant elections in our history-
The first question-THE FIRST question I will ask another F/A when the whinning starts is did they vote-The odds are 50-50 I can tell them to take it else where-not around me-you had your chance to take your stand but you blew it watching football, Sex in the City and at your kids soccer games-----or what ever it was that was more imporntant--
SHAME ON ALL OF YOU AA F/As THAT DIDNT BOTHER TO VOTE!!

I expect more from flight attendants than the general population-in everything being that we are superior individuals..........................................
;)

The F/A's on these bulletin boards and forums are most likely all voters. I would bet that F/A's who stay informed are more likely to vote.
Terry

That is an easy bet. They are interested and invested feeling some power and satisfaction from being informed and exercising the power of their vote.

I bet the runoff there are even LESS AA f/a's who vote...........

If national politics are any indication, you may only need one person to count and even then it may only take a few minutes.

Even know 8,000 or so active flight attendants didn't vote, I think AA f/a's on furlough just don't give a crap about it anymore. They're so frustrated and tired of APFA they have all moved on to bigger and better things.

actually, I think a lot of them went on to smaller and not so good things...Think LBJ (little bitty jets) and American Eagle.... but some have gone on to smaller and better things....think lbj's and jet blue, frontier, or southwest.... :)
once you get flying and free travel in your blood, it is a hard thing to give up.

Gee hotel boy, maybe you should check your posts a bit closer as well for errors as well before you go telling someone else to use spell check.

"Even know 8,000 or so active ...." Huh?
