11 months on strike with NO end in sight.

Another ignorant post from the dead and constantly censored iam scab union 'Nuts board. How will god judge the iam scabs and their company union leader, Booby DeScab?

Will strike a deal if Provoked  The Frightened Machinists fight song.

We all know the iam and twu will never strike, only cower in fear. Oh looky, the ICEMAN has melted into a little puddle. ;)

AA has been ripe to dump the twu for years, but Tulsa and MCI were and are the problem. We were very close to a vote, AMFA had the cards, the only way the twu and AA could stop the vote was to lie to the NMB. No surprise there.

Get the cards for the IBT out of Tulsa and MCI, and the line and AFW will be there.
<_< ----- The mode has changed here at MCI! So never say never!!! ;) Besides, like I said, you're talking less than three hundred votes here anyway! ;)

The layed-off mechanics would need to sign also. ;) Also the Teamsters are currently petitioning the NMB at the USAIRWAYs merger election to expand our craft and class again with the Stores Clerks.

Apologies to every IAM supporter and former officer/official
Are you suggesting that AMFA should apoligize to SCABS. The iam stooges are the ones who crossed, just like the twu stooges at AA would be the first to cross a picket line.

<_< ---- Frankly AMFAMAN, I don't think there are too many layed-off mechanics that would even consider coming back if called! Most of the ones that are half worth their weight in salt, have gone on to other jobs. But they still might sign a card just let aa/twu know how they feel anyway!!!

It is amazing that the TWU stooges continue to blame AMFA for standing up and taking the hit, when in reality the failure was a direct result of scabs that crossed a union picket line. Those scabs, like Jerry Sowell, the TWU spokesperson against AMFA were the only reason NWA succeeded.

To blame AMFA for the work of dastardly scabs does give a clue as to the strength (weakness) of unionism within the industrial union support network.

Info regarding the Teamsters/IAM M&R/Stock Clerks at US Airways.

Thanks for info, I'm glad they didn't expand M&R's craft and class again.
Weird situation it is/was. US Airways had the stock clerks on the M&R contract. America West did not. The stock clerks have their own contract with the Teamsters. Then the merger........east stock clerks fought to stay and the west mechanics fought for removal. However it pans out, the stock clerks will not be without representation.

When is the next drive starting?

With the TWU out there selling more concessions through productivity improvements and more job losses what do we have to lose?

They also blame AMFA for doing what they are too afraid to do, stand up for our profession once and for all. Had we taking a stand back in 2003, the concession train might have stopped right there.

I disagree. The concessions train would have been worse. If AA had filed for bankruptcy in 2003, AA AMTs would be making what UA, US, and NW AMTs make now; around $28-29/hr, more expensive benefits, changes in work rules, farmed out all heavy overhaul, loss of pensions and other retirement benefits. One could still live pretty good in TUL for $28/hr and the people there know it; so TUL would have voted for a T/A negotiated under Ch.11. Also, the same goes for MCI. At $28/hr, the ex-TWA AMTs would still have been making more than they were at TWA. This assumes, of course, that AA would have moderated a little and decided to keep heavy overhaul. On the other hand, they could have decided to sell the three overhaul bases to Timco type outfits; and we all know what they pay.

Some of those who crossed at NW were indeed former IAM officers and supporters. Some were new hire scabs. But it is a known fact that some of them are AMFA loud mouths that crossed. In fact, there are a couple that crossed their own picket lines to work not as AMTs but as part-time ramp new hires. I think it's hilarious that after years of claiming the "ramp apes" were "holding them back" and "riding their coattails" that a couple of them would actually cross their own line to become "bagsmahers" for $8 and change per hour. If I were a ramp lead at NW. I would work them until they dropped; no breaks. I would run them ragged from one flight to the next and assign them the heaviest flights; and make it so miserable that they would quit on their own.

You're misinterpeting what my point is. The cowardly stooge, ICEMAN, who posted would be the first to cross the picket line had AAers decided to take the stand, strike included to stop the concessions. This could have meant shutting the place down if needed. We do not know what the wages of the remaining airlines would be if AA would cease to exist. Of course with this said, USAIRWAYS should have been the first to step up, AA was second. Lastly, this same coward wants apoligies to iam stoolies who scabbed.

<_< ---- Hello aa! I wondered when you'd show up! What's your take on the "Michigan" TWA seniority lawsuit? That's a FSC suit by the way! I hear Kasher may be sapenaed to testify! B)
